That is cool, but I know I would never tune that. I prefer every gear to be crazy and unmanageable. I really hate that I did some research on the haltech. Makes me really want to make that jump.

Turbo frustration: When I’m just driving around cruising the afr’s fluctuate 14.00-15.00 and if I get into it as I’m pushing the gas pedal down the afr’s stay at 14.00-15.00 even after the pedal is all the way down and then gradually go to 13.00 and maybe to 12.5 sometimes as I’m pushing the gas pedal the afr’s go to 16.00-17.00 it stumbles then to 13.00. The frustration is that I thought that’s the way it is and I have to live with it but twice now I’ll start the truck and it’s idle is 750rpm instead of 500rpm and when I get into it the afr’s go down let off they go up with much better performance spinning the tires @ 25 mph after downshifting into first gear. I can’t wait to fix this problem so that I can enjoy all of the hard work it took to get this far it’s frustrating.

The 14.00-15.00 is normal, you're a narrowband truck and that's just how they are. Also your idle should be at 750 give or take 75 rpm. Try mashing the pedal abruptly and see what the AFRs are. It's also normal for it to bounce back and forth after being in boost on a stock system. If you want better part throttle and better drivability you'll need to do the AEM.

A couple of months ago I installed the AEM wideband gauge and sensor and so the reading that I’m talking about are from that.

Thats a good gauge. Try and immediately floor it at like 30mph~ and see what the AFR's do

I’ll do that but I’ll have to wait until tomorrow what do I look for ? Actually I’ve had 2 out comes doing that one where it down shifts and the afr’s go to 13.00 eventually but also sometimes they go up to 16.00 engine stumbles then to 13.00 but most recently today they went down into the 12s and with more power then later back to the other.

Sounds like too much boost on the stock stuff.

IIRC, if your AFR's are jumping around randomly, isnt that the sign that youve run out of injector for the boost that your running?

Hed probably be somewhere super rich if that were the case. I ran my stockers to the limits for fun and they defaulted to 9:1 lol

I’m only running 5-6 psi and no codes or check engine light. I was under the impression that I could run up to 8 psi with this setup.

8 psi On a stock system? No. The stock 5vz system can handle around 5psi and you're ok. I'm not sure about the 4-bangers but where you are now definitely isn't stable. Id say turn the boost down to 4.5-5psi and see what the AFR's do. Also the older trucks have no way of measuring pressure, so they will never pop a light for that. 5 psi on up is where you need the AEM. Realistically you need the AEM from the get go imo, but we all start out on a budget so the general rule is nothing over 5 psi. :D

I wish I could drive it so I could tell you what your problem is :( (im guessing too much boost)
