That sounds awesome. Though, I've been kicking around a simpler fare. One day "blue plate". Something like a smoked meatloaf sandwich and a stew etc. 2nd day fried chicken. Chicken strips, slaw, 3rd day Mexican seafood, 4th day burgers and dogs 5th day Mexican...tacos, burritos,.carne asada,etc. Everyday lunch sandwiches. Staples of slaw, beans, fried zucchini, hot pickled carrots. Smokers, crockpots, deep fryers and a flat top. Simple, easy, predictable.

 

County requires us to get ours sucked every three years, I always have it done in the spring

 

Yes exactly. Thought I'd try something different. A lot of cream cheese though LOL think I like the sausage ones better. But it was still good.

That should work, actually like the sounds of it. To make money at it is a whole different ball game for me. I only cook for myself and friends not sure how it would turn out if I was trying to make a BBQ judge or customer happy.

Hams are cheap right now. So did a twice smoked honey glaze spiral cut from Costco. OMG. Getting a few more and throwing them in the freezer.

 

Big pieces like the hams, roasts, briskett in a smoker during the day. I'd guess 20-30 lbs a day would suffice. If I run out of meat, close the doors till the next day. I'd imagine the homeless shelter would be getting some daily food donations until a reputation is built up.

 

Guessing the milder flavor of the crab trying to compete with the Anaheim could be a loosing battle. Lots of good looking Poblano Peppers in the produce section here lately. Must be in season down in Mexico.

 

The farmers here just started harvesting cauliflower, lettuce and broccoli. There's lots of fresh produce in the stores here now.

 

You just don't go where its to long. LOL.

 

Evening all
Roasted a tri-tip, cooked some butternut squash and a salad...meh greens.
Son and I ate most but saved some for sandwiches tomorrow.

It's extremely Brrrrrrrrrrrr outside right now , currently at 2230hrs it is 36° outside . checked the temperature in the garage and it's 62° so I feel safe that my Camaro will be okay

 

When I got to work tonight it was 78 now it's about to freeze over at 0114 the temp is 53.4.

 

Wish it was that warm here right now , as mentioned we're under a hard freeze warning until 0800 hrs
