That's the funny thing about the Crawl Control. With a Tacoma, a guy has to work on getting the truck stuck in the first place, just to see how Crawl Control works.

Deeper in the Dunes where the sand was super soft, truck could have easily gotten stuck if I didn't let go of the gas pedal and stop the momentum. I just put myself in the scenario to test it out. Was too curious lol.

I was very cozy in my hammock despite freezing temperatures! I got my hammock cuz I don't like sleeping on the ground, and I can't afford a RTT yet. Im quite happy with my Hennessy

Yeah, I'm actually interested in how you relocated it. I like the backup cam and want a swing out, but dunno what people do with the cam in that case.

I spliced the oem harness with another oem harness to add length and it can always be put back to stock with a oem harness if I want .

This is an awesome thread. I read every page and joined because of it. Tons of great ideas so I thought I would share the way we do it. First, we are glampers... we like electricity and bathrooms, plus my truck is 2WD. Here are some pics or our setup.

This is the platform support. Super simple. If you have a Home Depot nearby and a drill you are set. I had HD cut some 2/6s to fit across and through the middle. Then I attached a couple of pieces of angle to hold the center piece. Next just put a couple of screws on either side to prevent slide out. Finally had HD rip a sheet of 1/2" ply down the center and cut to length. Ripping it allows me to keep it between the wheel wells until I set i up. The result is easy, cheap, and provides total clearance below. Below the deck are under the bed wheeled plastic pull outs. I have a piece of rope in the rear ones so I can roll them out. 4 fit perfectly between the wheel wells.
