265 or 285?

What tire size is this?265 or 285-70-17?This is the look I will be going for.

 

I think the best looking tire size on these trucks is the 285.

Requires a lift, cmc and likely new control arms.

The big boxy pig nose front end looks best with 285's.

I have a 2017 MGM DCLB Sport 4x4 - I've finally decided ....... it's 285s for me!!!!!!

 

Hard to tell from the picture but I'm betting those are 285's.

Looks to me like a 265/70 mayyyybe a 275/70.

The offset and aggressive tire makes it look bigger than it actually is. Imo

 

285s are not worth the hassle to me. Getting 265 70 17 wildpeak AT3 in a few days. I plan on running this truck into the ground, not worth making it happen sooner with larger tires and all the wear and tear that comes with it.

Those are 265/70R17’s. No way that’s a 285. You can clearly see the tire in the back is pretty thin.

 

I been debating for WEEKS on which size tire to go with.. and I’m going with 265/75/16. Best bang for the buck and best tire for what I do. If I didn’t daily my tacoma, absolutely would be doing 285s tho.

 

if its a ridge grappler(I think it is), no 275 availiable in 17" rim(if that is what it is)

 

Nitto 285/70/17 with OME suspension.

 

That’s what I did. 265/75R16 STT Pro is the best tire I’ve ever run. Had Nitto Trail Grapplers, BFG AT KO2’s, BFG KM2’s Toyo Open Country MT’s and nothing beats the Cooper.

Perfect lift:tire ratio imo

 

315/70/r17. Looks the best on a 3 inch lift. You only have to cut 2 1/2 inches off of your fenders and beat the crap out of your firewall next to the cab. Chop the cabmount and lose the inner fenders. So it’s an option

I was at the tire shop yesterday looking to replace the 285's with 265/70/17. Don't wast your money on 285's.
Its not the Nitto brand but more the weight, load rating, and overall size of tire.

 

No wheel spacers. FN 17" x 8.5" Overland Wheels.
