How many miles on the truck? And is there any vibration that comes with the sound? Does it change when going around turns? Also is it 4x4?

Can you tell where it's coming from? Front or rear?

It has 122k miles, the noise is only noticeable at 60 mph, It is just a loud roaring sound and you cant notice unless you are at 60mph

Sounds like it could be the drivers side needle bearing. I'm not sure if that issue is normally speed specific though. Have you checked to see how much play it has? Crawl under your truck and find where the CV shaft goes into the front diff and shake it around. A little bit of play is normal but if it's excessive then that could be the problem. This usually happens on lifted trucks but can happen to any of them. It could also be wheel bearings. To check them jack the truck up and grab the tire at the 3 and 9 o'clock position and shake as if you are trying to turn the wheel back and forth and then repeat at the 12 and 6 o'clock position. If there is any play then the bearing is bad. Do this on both front wheels.

There are many possibilities. These are just some of the easier ones to check. I am by no means an expert but it's a good idea to start with the simple things first. Do you have aggressive tires on it? Some tires are very loud at certain speeds too.

The tires are regular road tires but tread is worn..it's about ready for some new ones..I thought it could be tire or drive shaft..

I replaced tires, still noise...I took it to dealership they say front wheel bearings..$1700 both...wow, I can't afford that...I replaced front wheel bearings on my jeep Cherokee...hopefully, I can find a cheaper mechanic...wish I had a garage

There are a couple members on here that build the bearing/hub assembly so you can just bolt them on. I think they are $175 a side. If I were more savvy I could provide I link, but if you search "wheel bearings" they will pop up.

i have the same problem with my '11 taco, changed the wheel bearing, it didn't change the sound at all. I'm on here looking for answers now. The truck roars going straight or left, the roar goes away completely when turning right. Changed right wheel bearing.
