Following the guide for the Big 3 upgrade, I fabricated and installed my own wiring harness. I was surprised to see the stock positive starter cable was already 2-gauge, but I replaced it anyway since I had already bought the new material. The rest of the cables got upgraded to larger size. The only thing I think I did wrong was the lower cable coming out of the fuse box I left unconnected. I thought running a wire from the alternator to the battery and from the battery and to the upper post in the fuse box would be sufficient. I'll pull it into the fuse box tomorrow and hook it up to the post as the guide suggests. Total project time: 5 hours. I wasn't in a hurry and I've never done anything on the electrical before so I took my time with it.

I removed the rear fender flares, wheel well liners and mud flaps. I took pictures off all the extra stuff for eBay. I put together a parts number list of clips and misc crapperware that I'll need when the bed swap goes down. I canceled my order for all the parts I placed earlier in the week when they started requesting a VIN. I'll just order this shit locally and maybe they'll throw in a Toyota Jan cardboard cut out

Any ideas what this could be? Rack bushing are new. Tie rods feel good. UCA is only a few months old, I disconnected the sway bar, didn’t make a difference. If I jack up one side it goes away.

Currently rebuilding them. Need to Get the proper hose for my nitrogen tank so I can fill them and get the springs back on. Then putting them on the new truck.

I like the rack. Was thinking about something like that for my rig.

Today I replaced the 3rd brake light. It is a pain in the .... Since I installed the tundra wiring, I have a unique situation. I have a cargo light and brake light combo. Now since there are no red lens covers with white boxes for the cargo light on a 1st gen, I had to figure out how to utilize the system. I ordered a smoked LED 3rd brake light. The LEDs were all red. I took a spare 3rd brake light and modified it to fit the smoked lens. I then purchased white and red LED bulbs for the system. Here is how it turned out. (1) before pic. (2) After (3) cargo lights are on. These light up when I unlock the doors. I also have a (ECT) below the ash tray that does turn these lights on and off. (4) This is the brake light. It is just the center bulb. I wounder what the odds are that I will get pulled over for a burnt out bulb.(5) This is both systems illuminated. The cargo light lights up the bed real nice. Awesome! d

So today the truck has been acting weird. I noticed accelerating on an on ramp to highway speeds the shifts are slow and the acceleration is very sluggish. My fuel economy is also suffering. I've had a P0171 System too Lean Bank 1 code since July. It only turns on during heavy acceleration.

Only recently has the shifting and acceleration gotten worse. Any idea what it could be?

A number of things. I had that on my 99 but never narrowed it down before the truck was totalled. Iirc it come mean you have a vacuum leak, bad fuel pump, o2 sensor, maf, throttle body, fuel filter etc.

Are you sure it isn't just a 4cyl with an auto tranny? JK, why haven't you addressed the P0171? That one can be an indicator of a few pretty performance limiting things.
