I'd assume he broke this from torquing it either in or out, so it's probably lodged in there. EZ out or similar is best bet. Easthill Bob's post above is the same I'd do.

Not that it bites into the screw harder as you run the ez out bit in reverse. Most of the time, you need to drill out the center of the screw some to give it a better chance at biting and staying center.

I’m thinking about getting th same wheels for my 2015 Tacoma... did you have any issues with too much hub space? I know the bore on these is 108 and ours is 106. Did you have to get hub centric rings?

Did you use a cordless drill?
When I installed my Bakflip MX4 it was recommended that you beak free by hand and not use a cordless drill until they were free and I had no problem. At this point I would spray with some break free. The aluminum inserts may have oxidized then use the easy outs as outlined. Let the break free set for a bit before you continue. Take your time and you should be ok.

No. Used a hand wrench and T30 socket to loosen by hand. At Home Depot getting the extractors.

Today I looked at both of my Tacoma's with total appreciation of the man who made it possible for me to own them. My father who I had to watch pass away today after several years of battling an unwinnable fight! We called him Poopa, and he was tuff as nails and so many depended on him. He will be sorely missed and my life will never be the same. Just wanted to give him the credit that he is due for making so many things possible for me and my family. Thanks dad!

Hope you don't mind a couple of non Tacoma pics. And thanks for your thoughts and condolences.

Honey. Though not a big poster I’ve lurked for several months and have read this entire thread. Having enjoyed your build and trials and tribulations and solutions along the way as well as your commitment to your dad and his failing health. God speed to your dad and I’m sure he’s proud...

Thanks G*Man, I so appreciate the kind words! I really didn't need this 16 Tacoma, and at best was going to trade the 11 in on it, but it would have been a replacement work vehicle for our family Co. Which my father built into a small empire, of which my brothers and I need to carry on now. I couldn't have afforded it otherwise, but he new what I wanted to do and made it happen. He didn't always agree with my mods because it seemed I was wrecking things sometimes with all the problems I had along the way. But I am humble and always give credit to who it is due, and the life I have and most things that I have and person I am, is mostly credited to my dad! Iwill leave it at that. May God rest his soul.

Adjusted the icons and added about .25" and modified my middle. No more rubbing with my 285s. Still will probably do a cmc for wheeling.
