@OSUTacoma ...imagine the chaos, if the SEC champ was left out like Penn State :anonymous:! This system is rigged, old blue blood programs get respect & everyone else gets left out. Even last week, two undefeated teams were ranked behind 1 loss teams o_O_o_O. The same old, same old every year...keep hanging around and this system will self destruct just like the BCS:anonymous::bananadead::anonymous:. Fans are so brain washed by EESpeaN, "college football committee" knows best...:spy:  :spy:

@dwalden2 ... :ohsnap: And I'd like to see Miss State play, and several other 2 & 3 loss teams as well :muscleflexing:. I believe an expanded playoff will only make the regular season more important than now, a two loss Georgia team deserves a shot, our 3 losses were to #7 Georgia, #1 Alabama, and #6 Auburn. :hattip:My request is the college football championship be decided on the football field, not by some committee that votes the most popular blue blood teams in.

Sitting here right now looking at the CFP top 20, I don't see any pansies on the list :tumbleweed:

I can agree with some of this, but any team who looses to #1, #6 & #7 has had a chance and clearly doesn't have what it takes

There are a lot of crazy scenarios we could discuss, who knows what’ll happen? One of the things that is so exciting about college football is that every game is kinda like a playoff game. I’d hate to lose that.

What if we win out beating AU? Would Bama sneak in having 2 SEC teams in the playoff?

There is a lot to be decided but outside the top 6 or so is too much imo, but how would you have a 6 team playoff? I just feel like 8 teams is going too far.

Also we have to take into account these are students and have to go to school so too many games/practice would be a lot on their slate. I’m sure this has to have some effect on the decision of how many teams for the playoff. If not for that then why not have more, just means more money.

@05Taco4x4 -you're right :hattip:, Miss State is #4 in the SEC, and almost upsetting #1 doesn't count.

...many NFL teams w/ 0-1 regular season losses never make it to the super bowl. All the same principles apply to college football, wild card teams many times end up in the super bowl. Let's just play the game on the field, and when the clock hits 0:00...you have a champ! I agree that most of the time the giant defeats david...but just let them settle it on the field. Look at all the very unlikely upsets this year...

There's a fear that the SEC will dominate an expanded playoffs, therefore limiting the # of TV's watching. It's usually all about the money...:notsure: I know the JUCO playoffs are fun as :woot:to watch.

Im across the river from Marshall U. in Huntington WV . When MU was IAA , they would be in the playoffs , talk about exciting . I cant remember how many teams , maybe 16? But it was great . The more the better . Now im not talking 64 like bball but 16 woulf be good . Of course there would still be fans crying their team got left out but it would be more "balanced" I think .

I personally doubt 2 SEC teams will get in this year

I'll believe Chip Kelly to Florida and/or Jon Gruden to Tennessee (or anybody else to anywhere else) when I see the press conference. Until then, just ignore it. The cousin of the girlfriend of the message board wannabe reporter doesn't have any better information than you do.

no way 2 sec teams get in this year, it'll be alabama or auburn, most likely alabama but i'd sure love to see auburn get in. UGA doesn't stand a chance against either alabama or auburn...

I’d like to see Clemson, Miami, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin with no more losses this year. How will the committee decide whose “deserving” of the CFP? With Alabama, Georgia, or Auburn as SEC champs...

@yota243 good point, I didn’t look up Miami’s conference title game. So if Clemson wins, both have 1 loss- which is worse losing to Syracuse or Clemson...

The picture doesn’t change much with a Miami loss :anonymous:

    my argument is this
if auburn barely beats bama (I don't see a blow out either way and I predict a close game) then auburn will jump to a #4 spot and bama will drop just out side of the top 4 (we will just say 6 since that is what auburn is right now) but that loss will be a week earlier than Miami/Clemson so you would almost have to say that the later loss will drop that team below bama (because that is how cfp logic works) and then at most all bama would need to do to get back in is have wisconson or OK to lose the same week. and this would be worse case scenario for bama IMO
