Hahahahaha I hate you. The 4Runner will never have an RTT, maybe the F150 or diesel tow pig eventually. This is the first time I’ve been camping since July

i surprisingly didnt really notice it on top of the runner. Drove fine and never really felt top heavy even without sways. Minimal wind noise as well, but no reason to have it on for the winter to get beat up unnecessarily.

I never get the guys who leave it on all winter. If you don’t have a space to store it I get it, but just leaving it to weigh you down and get beat up seams foolish. I just stick mine in the shed and stare at it longingly since I’ll never use it...:anonymous:

agreed, i threw it on for the quick camping trip with the in laws. But its too fkn cold for me lately to camp so off it goes until spring. Ill leave it on during spring/summer then remove again in the winter.

Saw a 6" lifted 2nd gen Tundra with a RTT on top of a rack a good foot above the roof line. That sucker was way up there. I'd sleep in the truck before trying to climb into that thing after a night of heavy drinking.

I feel the same way, not too noticeable. Just takes up a lot of room that could be used for other items. I'm going to look into a very cheap trailer option for when I'm camping out of one spot and suffer though when the trail takes more than one day.

Yeah, I had mine on for a month during the summer, but never got a chance to get out. This summer though, I'm definitely hitting the trails and dragging the family along. Little one will be 2, which is perfect to camp with. Might pick up Nick's Gran Sabana to fit the entire family as the Kukeman is a bit tight with 4.

i like to drive too fast for a trailer, although would be nice to be able to set up and drive off the next day.

Yeah, I have another guy that is interested as well. Would love to sell what I got it for, but can't make the switch without upping the price a bit. I just really like the sky model, be awesome to stare at the stars at night in the warmer months.

Nick said I need to see his tent before he would sell to me. I guess to many baby stains or something.

Yeah said it was beat up a bit, but functional. Damn this is 6' wide though, can't see that ever going on the 4runner.

i could probably camp but it would be pretty damn cold and im a little bitch.

Ill leave it off for snow runs and trips around then throw it back on for spring shenanigans. But i really want to hit DV sometime.

Ugh I wish. I love being in Santa Cruz, but the mountains are all 3+ hours away and you have to travel through the bay area. A nightmare if you're leaving at the wrong time.
