Hmmm...I wonder what Bamers think about this game?!? Are the records meaningless for the iron bowl

 

almost always, except for that last year chizec was there, when you go into the iron bowl 2-8, the other team pretty much knows what is about to happen

 

I know Auburn started off lazy in the first half against ULM but recovered to a 42-14 win and Bama crushed Mercer like 56-0, the points moved to where Bama is a 4.5 point favorite last i checked. Game time is at 3:30 ET on the 25th in Jordan-Hare so I have to drive back to Auburn on Friday morning to beat the traffic. Jeff Holland, Auburn's defensive end looked like he hurt his foot or something and he went out but came back in the second half, Tre Matthews hurt his shoulder again and is probably out, Stidham and KJ are still healthy, Kam Martin made a sweet appearance so we are all good as of right now. Bama's linebackers are still injured but one may make an appearance this weekend, Jalen Hurts is still good and so is their running back. Bama's offense against a deadly Auburn Defense and vice versa will straight up be a war of attrition. It's shaping up to be one hell of an Iron Bowl.

 

Good point, both have been tested this year and it’s shaping up to be one of the best Iron bowls of all time. The QB will need rib protection/knees/everything (may just buy some bubble wrap & layer it)

I used to have a buddy from Bear Creek, he took me hunting over there back in the 90’s. Long time ago, fun time!

 

I just hope Gus doesn't resort to his previous habits when the going gets tough... When we played UGA the stadium was packed, the fans were roaring and the players were hyped up and excited just to play. Against ULM and because it was thanksgiving break, the stadium wasn't packed, all the students were gone, and it was pretty quiet until it got to a ULM third down and short. This weekend I know the stadium will be packed in every seat and walkway, it will be loud as hell on every down, and the players will be pumped up. I just like seeing when they are dancing on the sideline and before the huddle or during a TV timeout, that's when you know they are having a great time. We have to start strong and stay strong for all 60 minutes of game time.

 

Who’s Mike the Tiger planning to eat this week? LSU really pulled their season together down the stretch (- Troy)

 

yeah that Troy game was a turnaround for them, which makes me happy because there are two usual outcomes after losses like that 1. you go downhill continuously or 2. you bounce back and have a great season. not that LSU has played anybody tremendous, I think they got Auburn on a lucky week, and florida, ole miss, arkansas, and tennessee SUCK. so who's to say how great they actually look? LSU has texas a&m this weekend, I think they'll come out with a W.

 

they did managed to bench half of our starters on defense so that's something too

 

that was a definite costly win for Alabama.

 

yes, I do have to admit, that any team that can take the other team's best player on defense out twice in the same game is really going places tho

 

I knew this would be a rough year for LSU, I'm optimistic about the future. give Canada, Aranda, and Orgeron time. That's a hell of a recruiting combination and coordinators. Get rid of Joe Alleva and I'll be happy.

For all of you that want more playoff games, they start this weekend basically and round 2 next weekend.

 

So after this season apparently Gus is going to Arkansas which I am totally ok with. It got me thinking of coaches and the thought of Stidham in Mike Leache’s offense would be freaking deadly! Plus I like how he DGAF.

 

i still get nervous every time we have to kick a FG, but at 1 times this year our kicker was the best in the conference if you can believe it (our long kicks were done by our punter so that saved a few misses for him I'm sure)

 

If Wisconsin goes undefeated and wins the Big Ten title game, is there any way possible they don't get in the playoff? Or, any reason that they shouldn't?
