Found some nice looking Briskets on sale the other day at Costco when I picked up some pork butts. Next thing I smoke after Thanksgiving is going to be the Brisket. I have yet to try smoking beef since the wife told me last night she is tired of me smoking pork all the time.

:pccoffee: Good morning TW, I’ve learned a lot from this thread , I’m looking at pros & cons of electric vs propane smoker/grill- Before I purchase one, I’ll have to see if the capacitor & contactor ordered from Amazon fixes/repairs my a/c unit :spy: :fingerscrossed:!

Which brands, styles, and such do you recommend... I’ll cook up to 16 hamburgers/chicken breast-leg quarters-wings/ poke chops/ and other delicious stuff from this thread

pros of electric. Is set it and forget it;) basically. you can make jerky on it, good for smoking fish.
Pro's of charcoal is its has better flavor IMO. Cons is you have to monitor it more frequently than electric.
Pro's of propane is its quick.

TBH a pellet cooker is kinda best of both worlds... set and forget plus sweet smoke action.

Out of curiosity what brand of pellets y'all be buying...I know there has to be a difference of flavor from brand to brand. Not really sure if they add fillers.

I don't have a Pellet smoker just wondering.

So glad I found this thread and I think it may be my first post. Will take me some time to read through all posts but I know there will be some good info and food pron out there. I am an SLBS BBQ Judge. I've competed and own a Humphrey's Pint with a CyberQ running it. Love everything BBQ and smoking. Heck "My Spirit Animal is Brisket"

Oh - and I just purchase a 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport in Quicksand. First Toyota and loving it.

Humphrey's Pint is a cool rig. Like 2 grand though I think, but probably worth it.

Yeah if you just get the Pint with nothing else its about $2k. I have a few more items on it so mine was pushing the limits of a used jeep. But man the chow that comes off that baby.
