Paid ~$400 for my OEM Pro grill.

Over the years I've also bought some six or seven different body-plastics (from running boards to motorcycle fairings) in "OEM STYLE" from China knock-offs, all of which guaranteed perfect fitment.

What I'd like to see is the face of anyone that tries to install this garbage.

When it comes to body components, either buy real OEM, or just use a piece of cardboard and duct-tape.

Sure was when I tried to install those running boards. Sure was when those fairings literally tore apart at 200kph on my bike. Sure was when I had to fight with the seller, PayPal and VISA to get my money back. But I learned from my experiences and life has been great ever since.

But quality and you'll only cry once.

Nope...those aren't for the grille. Just the top clips and screws there's none on the bottom aside from placement tabs.

They can sell it for whatever price they want. If people don't want to buy it they will either lower the price or stop offering it.

Surprised they haven't been sued for selling stuff as "their product" as if they made it

You people need to show the new guy some sympathy since he paid $400 for authentic Toyota brand Chinese plastic. Can't wait for mine to get here. From the posted pictures they look pretty darn close to that $400 one. At $140 I don't care if if falls off in 2 years. Still a bargain. Personally I would never pay over $200 for the Toyota brand. They are all cheap injection mold plastic.

I think the Cali raised grill is the same China faux grill. They are re-sellers, and their markup is the delta. I don't know why people still go Caliraised route when you could buy the same product they are buying for you directly from the online Chinese vendor.

It is a free market society. Can't blame Cali for the markup if people are willing to pay it. Just wish the Chinese that made my Clazzio seat covers would start selling direct.

I’m surprised there haven’t been more comments on this thread by buyers of Toyota’s OEM grille condemning Chinese produced grilles sold on on eBay. I admit I’ve purchased aftermarket parts through eBay with good and bad results. It simply depends on the quality of the part itself, not where the part is produced. Thankfully, this thread has allowed Tacoma owners to vet the quality of the grille compared to the OEM version.
