This trip I am on has really been something. This morning I pulled up to a stop sign and when I started to pull away there was nothing in throttle response. I pumped the gas pedal and got absolutely nothing. There I am halfway through the turn and no response, it finally woke up and acted ok for the rest of this errand I was running. Is it something I did or is this another problem I knew nothing about when I purchased this vehicle. Anybody else have this type of problem?

It's not you, it's the horrible stock ECU calibration. Widespread issue.
The only known fix at this point is OVtune (there are three active threads on TW).

Is yours an auto or manual? Mine is auto and that’s the exact reason I use S mode for around town driving. Mine will get stuck in low gears like that and won’t go anywhere.

this is why there are people that run in ECT mode all the time. what you described i have expressed also and when that happens when turning right when there is a break in traffic is a "what the fuck" moment.

You got that right, I had one of those this morning in traffic. This is an automatic, should I then be using ECT mode?

Think of it as a turbo lag of sorts.

Punch that ECT button and don't be afraid to put your foot in it.

My manual would do it too - sometimes you'd try and get on it in 1st.. and booog. It felt exactly like if you tried to hammer a carbureted engine while the choke was still closed.

Not normal-scary/safety hazard. Mine is doing it---as some others I see here. I cannot find solution( dealership worthless.
Call Texas-- tell them---they need to hear from anyone with this issue-- she tells me she has not heard of it!! Until enough call and report. Mine automatic-- is when turning right from stop sign.

Dealer after 3 times to get code readout--and say no codes thrown--- on your own!!! Worthless. Would think warranty someone would try.

kahanabob, I just reread the posts and realized I was turning right from the stop sign when it happened. I wonder if that is consistent with everybody else that it is happening to.

Are you sure you don't have a failing CPS?

'No' pedal response is very different than being in the wrong gear.

    that is not normal

    as said above, safety hazard

brake and throttle are your tools for safety and how to react

example: if you cannot stomp the gas to get away from a runaway bus, you
    gotta get that fixed.

No pedal response to me means nothing at all happened . No nothing . So for how long and how many times did you pump the pedal before the truck moved ? Did the truck stop running ?

Truck continued to run, I pumped the pedal 4-5 times with no response and finally it responded and I made the turn.

This is really a problem and not the regular complaining about it not being like a race car . Your biggest problem will be to recreate it at the dealer , hopefully there will be some codes stored. I have read about the quickly flooring the pedal and a hesitation happening . I have hit the pedal from a standstill as fast as I could with mine and had not hesitation at all . I tried it several times and there was always an instant response . I have a 2016 3.5 auto.
