Window vents

So, I have 06 tacoma access cab.. been tryin to find the right window vents. Where you attached inside the window and not outside. Can someone please point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

 

weathertech sits inside the channel for their front door vents

I believe the egr vents also sit inside the channel

 

The term you'll need to search more efficiently is "in-channel"

Get the Weathertech brand. I've had zero problems with them.

I chose the 2 pack of AVS in channels / very pleased

 

I Will say this, from personal experience, the In-channel vent visors eventually wear out your window motor and mess with the regulator. Not very quickly of course but after years of the window going up and down, that style of vent visor takes its toll on your window components.

I switched from the WeatherTech in channel to the AVS Slim Profile that attach to the weather stripping via 3M tape. They are very secure, look awesome and the price was right as well!

Not bashing on any one products, just stating issues from personal experience. I did however love the look of the WeatherTech in channel visors, they served me very well!

I've had the AVS in-channels since my truck was new in 2010. Not a single issue with the vent visors or the windows.

 

I put these in-channel vent visors on my truck. The fit is great and no issues so far.

I think this is probably true and what I worried about when I installed the in channel vents. I love these vents and to this day I just roll the window up and leave it about an inch down all the time. No one can see it’s down, rain can’t get in. The passenger side is up all the way and hardly ever gets moved so no strain on the window parts.
