Weathertech roll up tonneau cover

Has anyone purchased this cover? I’d like to hear your reviews.

Not a review, but I'm also interested. I'm actually looking for one, hard or soft, that leaves the most of the bedrails exposed. I've had no luch with that either.

 

Bak 2 revolver. Metal grid underneath makes it a little harder to break in as u can't just slice open the vinyl. I know nothing is totally break in proof, but it's all about making it harder so they go to the next one. This also rolls back and leaves most of the bed open and useable.

 

I have a great one sits on top of rails have owned 3 other one as well. Does not cost near as much as weathertec .I do believe they mace hard cover too

 

I have the WeatherTech tonneau cover. Some pics are below from the day I installed it almost a year ago. I do like it. It truly does allow for use of the entire bed when rolled up and clipped into place against the cab. It lets a little bit of water in as it uses foam and not rubber to seal against the sides of the bed, but that does not bother me. I almost never leave anything in the bed when I am not using it, so security is not a big deal for me. I just wanted stuff I might haul when it rains to stay dry. Someone with a half decent butter knife will get at whatever you have back there if they really want it.

I will say that with a generous application of 303 once a month, it looks exactly as it does in the pictures a year later. Whatever you end up with if it is a soft tonneau cover, you must treat the surface to protect it. Myself and I am sure others will recommend 303 to treat it with. This is pretty sharp and it looks like it leaves a lot of bedrail. What I want to do is make a kayak rack that would rest on the rails with the cover on for camping. Do you think it would hold up to northern New England winters?

 

It looks a lot like the Access Cover I have on my truck. TruckAlterations was great to deal with and give TW members a price break.

Yeah it does leave most of the bed rail usable. The mounts take up less space than the Toyota cleats. It has been flawless so far dealing with the elements. Like I said, it still looks brand new a year later.

Is there any other tonneau roll ups the sit flush with the bed rails? Off topic a little from the original post but seems like most rolls up sit up about 1-1.5” from the rails.
