Austin Area TW Chapter (all gens welcome, even T4Rs; heck, just make it a Toyota and we're good)

My policy has comprehensive, uninsured motorist, and collision included. I apologize for not mentioning that before. Allot of agents will try to steer you towards a collector car type policy but most all of them exclude you using the vehicle as a daily driver and have a severe annual mileage restriction. I like to drive my toys so my agent worked with me to make this work.

 

@CarmenSanDiego i don't mean to scare ya by the way if you're open open hopefully you aren't in situation like that. One time I am almost flopped was cause I got cocky the other I was following my roommate in a fully (as in nothing stock) LJ on 37s

 

No I'm not scared. I have been scared but mainly because like I said I've only been wheeling my Runner about a year and zt this point I feel like the weak point is me as I've tried to build it to handle whatever I will decide to throw at it. The issue is 5th gen Runners are some top heavy bitches and if you get off camber it feels sketchy as fuck. I don't WANT to flop it but I also know that shit just happens sometimes and I want to be prepared. I don't like to bitch out on stuff so I hope I don't hold us back this weekend!

 

I am going to call my agent and toss a hypothetical at them and see what they say. Since my Runner is listed as my daily driver I'm not sure what they will say. It's insured with everything I can have on it right now as far as I know but I don't know if that truly covers all situations or if there's grey areas I have to worry about.

 

What time are y'all planning on rolling in Friday?

 

I'm honestly not sure. Hoping to get together with everyone in the next day or so to nail down the details. I know most of us plan to head out early Friday morning and some who have to work will roll in Friday night.

Just remembered Friday is Black Friday so we are going to hate our lives getting out of Houston I'm sure. We will generally stop at Hruskas on the way in and eat and top off the tanks. Right now I'm debating swapping my trail wheel setup on or just bringing them with me since they're heavy AF and I get terrible mileage with them usually.

Will do! Right now everyone is busy with work and stuff so it's a bit like herding cats but tomorrow we should be able to better coordinate.
