What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Man is there any snow in the near future forcast? I am flying out to Vail to ski in 3 weeks....getting worried....

Not exactly on the truck, but I did work for 3 hours on the videos that I said I'd be posting.

Unfortunately, Movie Maker started removing clips from my project, so I'm learning a new program. I was due to upgrade my video quality. So far, so good. Working next couple, but should have the first one by the end of the week.

 

Ya and doesn't work for the cross traffic alert. That's why I havnt bought one

 

Replaced my bed decal
Pretty much same as the stock decal but matte black...

 

How did you remove the original? Heat up and peel? (I don't want to scratch mine by scraping it off, but was considering going to all black also.)

I was woken up by coyotes this morning.....we are staying with friends who live in Study Butte, which is next to Terlingua which is next to Big Bend National Park. They have 400 acres here.
Was helping my friend install a new submersible pump for his water well (they are totally off the grid) down in Terlingua creek. I’m like all excited to drive the new Taco 4x4, put some tools in it...do some manly stuff....and all and he goes man don’t drive that pretty truck and get it all messed up...He said drive my Toyota 4x4...
I don’t know what year it is. The dude that gave it to him, the story goes he flipped his cigarette butt out the window on a windy day....it got sucked back onto his Rhino lined truck bed. He pulled up to his house.....a few minutes later his bed caught fire....which he didn’t know until smoke started pouring into his house.....it broke the back window, burned up the bed and burnt out the headliner....other than that...it still ran.
I’m thinking if I get it cleaned up some, a new head liner, back window, and a good wash and waxing...... ; )
Regardless....had the wife get out and take some purty pics of truck while driving around on their land.

Winch switches all wired up, cranked up the coils and rear leafs all installed. I like it look mean I think.

I tend to bolt things on the frame of my truck...haven't tried nailing anything to the tires recently.

 

C4 Fabrication makes a rear bumper that works with the BSM/RCTA system. I'm not a huge fan of the license plate mounted at an angle though.

Just peel it off, it should come right off.
I saw something on youtube to use heatgun that didn't work for me. I found that morw adhesive tape were left to the body of the truck. I just used wet rag with soap to removed the remaining adhesive on the bed.

Had a local lift truck shop install it...$326.
I just wanted to keep it level and no more than 2” lift. I don’t do any hardcore off-roading since I don’t have local access to decent off-roading locales.......have to drive 10 hrs to Big Bend ; ).
I also have Bilstiens 5100’s 3rd generation from Headstrong via Marie...she’s awesome! $340 total and free shipping.
So, I get my original more dampened ride with the Bilstiens with this setup....it doesn’t change anything other than height.
