NJ B.S. Thread

When we woke up the first morning in Moab and saw the view from our camp site (we arrived in the dark), I asked my Wife “why don’t we live here?”

 

Xactly. I go through mild depression when I pull in my driveway from a trip.. my house is amazing, beautiful wife with kid on the way, good job... but pretty much sick of jersey and all it’s rules/laws. Just wanna live more freely. Looking at property in Vt in a couple years as a getaway.

 

I’ve kinda had my fill of NJ/NY. I’m hoping to move back west within the next few years. I spent about 20 years in California and ~15 years in Washington. Best places in the country to live and play IMO. Also, Colorado is still in my sights.

Just gotta find the right opportunity.

 

What part of VT?

 

Southern, to make weekend trips easy.

 

Smart. My folks are in Southern NH and that’s a four hour drive from Mahwah.

 

All of this. I'm so fucking jaded on this coast now.

Basically ignorance is bliss. Once you start exploring outside of NJ your fucked.

Except I did it in reverse. I’ve been able to explore a lot of the west, then came to NJ/NY.

They are all crazy loud North Jersians so I don’t go up there to often. When my grandma lived in Suffern I’d go up all the time as a little kid for all the holidays.

It’s kinda hard to guess what you like doing.

Still too many people.... Try Greenland or the Outer Hebrides.

 

Or the southern most tip of the Philippines.

There’s a small Al Qaeda cell there, but they keep mostly to themselves.

 

Ive actually looked into jobs in antarctica in mcmurdo station just for shits n gigs cuz I thought that'd be an awesome experience and I was expecting decent pay for being, you know, in antarctica. But most jobs pay less than working here lol

 

But free room and board. And unlimited snow and ice wheeling.
