Sold my 2nd gen Miata for my 2nd gen Taco Baja edition. Completely different vehicles - the only thing I miss is the 6 speed manual!
I did a few mods to the Taco such as changing the graphics and adding some lighting and a few other things.

Problems with every seal on the 05, nearing end of drivetrain warranty at 100k, went back to 50k mile truck with 36k bumper to bumper warranty & mostly because I wanted RC to begin with and never used the AC space often enough to matter and only paid 3k difference in trade-in of 05 vs what 08 cost. Fits better in garage. 05 was higher than I needed or wanted and 18" wheels/tires that came on it were more than I needed or wanted for a dd w/4cyl. All 3 are/were 4 cyl 5 speed which is also what I wanted. SR5 vs. base but that didn't really matter that much. Motor mounts are beefed up on 08 frame vs on 05. All of it made the 08 RC a better choice for me. The choice to sell the 82, well, that goes in the bad choice column..............

You had multiple seals leaking at 100K? That would suck. :annoyed:

Sold my VW Jetta for a new 3rd Gen Taco Trd Off road. Very happy I did. Previously had a Jeep Xj but Erie Pa ruined it with rust. Poor thing was a prestine dessert XJ. 8F6267EA-AEA9-44FD-B42D-55071A9A1FB9.jpg

Is the upper truck pictured the 1973 SR5 to which your referring? :notsure:
If yes, then that's a good looking rig to be almost 35 years old.

2013 Ford Escape SE 1.6Ecoboost FWD w/pano roof and myfordtouch. Had about 35,000 miles on it and besides wanting to go to one vehicle, I wanted to dump it before the warranty expired. It was in the shop 3 times for different warranty repairs and one of them took over 2 weeks to fix. If you look through the windshield you can see the White 1998 F-150 I sold as well.

I traded in my junker 2006 Chevy Colorado Access Cab.

    It was a 5-banger. Yes, not a 4-cylinder and not a V6, but a 5'er.

The engine mount seals, cans, started wearing down and letting moisture leak into the engine. They recalled hundreds of thousands but mine was part of the "unaffected" list. Then I started seeing orange rust on the dipstick during oil changes and hearing funny noises. They wouldn't repair it.

So I cleaned it up nice, changed the oil, and traded her in right after the market tanked and got a good deal on my current ride.

    2011 Tacoma 4DR Off-Road. I think it had 22k miles when I got it

Mine was an old 2004 M/T RAV4 with about 170k miles... and with FWD. Somehow I had found an SUV that had only two wheel drive AND a manual trans, and yet I still ended up putting an OME lift kit and Nitto Terra Graps on the thing

Here’s how the girl looked before I had upgraded her (don’t mind my husband holding everything in the front seat!)

I never would have thought they made lift kit for a Rav4. :notsure:

I was a bit surprised too, but I wasn’t complaining lol... It’s a 1.25” lift over stock so I was able to jump up one tire size too
