Bought it outright because I didn't want it tied up to a carrier (unlocked)
I picked up the X when they came out. The unit I'm selling is the pre-ordered one that just got delivered.

 

Tried an android. Was sweet for about 8 months then it became slow, laggy, etc.

Also not a fan of apps that aren’t vested.

iPhone has great longevity, super stable.. only downside? Memory not upgradeable - but once I stopped buying the poverty sizes, it hasn’t been an issue. My iPhone 4 still works great, my 6 worked great but I roasted the battery in 2-3 years. $70 fix, I just replaced it instead of repairing for a 7 Plus.

Not a bandwagon or fanboy, but nothing is inexpensive, so if I’m going to spend good money, I’ll spend more of it when it’s proven to be the most effective use of that money. My Samsung saved me a few hundred, until I had to replace it a year later, then it was $450 wasted.

 

I got pressured into Apple with iMessage and naked FaceTime and whatnots

 

i just have a macbook, apple tv and then carplay in the runner. i like android as well but im in too deep, cant break the mold now with everyone all streamline and sync'd.

 

You don't pay retail for phones? how?

Love the camera on my Windows phone, but support is being discontinued and apps are being discontinued. So its time to move onto apple or android.... Don't think I'm ready to drink the Kool aid yet, probably will go android.

 

My Samsung is 3 yrs old runs great i added a memory for $20 sd cards are cheap, its not slow, but its not new tech by any means there all out dated before there even released. Tech is tech and for the comon user iphones are great. For me i like that i can replace my battery and memory. Im also just a poor white guy that dosnt like to waste money. But thats my opinion and like i said i dont get the hype over apple. They have had there share of bad phones like ever other brand. Apple has you guys by the balls. You cant easily replace batterys or memory, that keeps you buying a new one every yr or 2. Because most of us will just say fuck it and buy a new one.

You only pay full price of your one of those that has to have it when its first launched.
You know those erds that camp out for shit days in advance.
Hell i used yo do that just to resale it for profet.
I have made a few buck's on xbox Playstation to name a few. Hints why i dont buy retail, i dont buy the hype.

If anyone has an old iPhone 6 or anything laying around feel free to give me a shout. My girl has destroyed hers for the third time so she's not getting a NEW one lol. But I can't help but laugh watching her walk around with a little baby iphone 4.

 

Wide and I say home watching start and finish last Thursday at tech all the way through. Then tracked a few during. It was a brutal coarse this year

 

I think Apple is the great Satan, mind you, not a fan of the company. I was tired of being under their lockdown with their device and software limitations. That's why I switched to Samsung.

The products I've ended up with from them, unfortunately, are great. They're definitely sold at a higher price point and catered to that crowd (of which I'm not a member, my Macbook is close to 10 years old) who doesn't care what it costs and has money to burn. My one experience with Samsung phone was short lived and quickly soured, so then it became paying more for stability and less freedom, which really doesn't inhibit me in my uses, just doesn't sit right with me. Neither does burning money, so.. Apple it is.

My Macbook still works, battery is shot to fuck as it's original and doesn't hold a charge more than 10 minutes. I'm not fixing it because it's not worth it, and I'm not replacing it because I can't justify the expense of a new model when I don't really have a need for a full on computer. I have an LG tablet and an iPad Mini, they're both familiar because I've used both iOS and Android OS - I don't really favor one over the other. The iPad I bought just so my fiancee could FaceTime with her nephew, not sure she ever did so now it's just an internet browser, and I use it to pull pics from my DSLR to Flickr since it's easy and relatively quick. The LG is used for internet, too.

 

Pretty sure there's one on Craigslist or TW for.. $200? I know I've seen it recently, just not sure where.

 

battery is $110, i just replaced mine in my 08 Macbook which is still running awesome.

 

I meant more like the laptop isn't worth fixing. I can't upgrade iOS any further than it is, and it runs slow as balls.

 

upgrade the ram, is easy and cheap. Mine cant be updated further than what it is either. With the 8gb ram is better than before.
