    It looks awfully close to me. I can't say for sure if it was required, but I am glad I had it done. At full lock and flex it is close enough that I'd rather not have to worry about it.

    Looking for advice on adding the 5100s. I have a new rear set, and I'm not looking to now buy the fronts. Currently I have a 2.25" Pro Comp spacer in the front, and I want to mirror this exact height. Without lifting the rear, this clears my 285s just fine for the way I drive. Issue is, I want the spacer out. Can I get away with running the stock springs on a specific setting on the 5100s? I know I'd be better off with the 887s or so, but I'd like to do without if I can.

    I’d you look at @HeadStrong Off-Road website they have a guide that shows you the approx lift with each spring and I believe each setting on the 5100s.

    However, it is a lot easier just to buy the 887s. They come assembled and you just bolt them up. If you use yours you have to compress the spring and assemble the shock. It’s not hard if you know how to do it, but if you don’t it can be a pain.

    Do you think running UCAs would eliminate the need for a CMC? I'd rather spend more on components than chop up the truck.

    Also wondering what lift you got... I have upgraded to those tires (sizes) and ultimately want to lift 2"-3" max. Also - was the UCA change necessary? I've read a bit on this general setup and haven't seen responses before that point to UCA's being a necessary change when doing 5100's/ 887.

    I didn’t take post measurements but I will this weekend.

    3rd gen 5100s. The AAL kit is from Low Range off-road. Part# 1 TAC-SP-AAL2

    I haven’t taken post measurements but given the 887 springs provide 2.25” alone + the second clip setting gives 0.65”. I’d calculate I’m very close to 3”. Most on here will recommend Aftermarket UCAs the closer you get to 3”. I didn’t really want to buy them but glad that I did considering I got all my alignment numbers within spec. I’m going up to 285 tires eventually and the extra caster might help fitment.

    Question. If I go with Bilstein 5100s on 0., OME 888 Springs, SPC UCA, and Deaver AAL for approx 2.5" lift, will I still be able to haul and tow things occasionally like I can with oem suspension? I don't do a lot of it, but on occasion I could have several hundred pounds in bed or tow a trailer with atv's.

    if your doing this, go buy the 6112/5160 with dakars HD leafsprings. its a better option.

    I have been looking at the 6112/5160 combo as well. Does 5100's all the way around really lessen the capabilities of hauling or towing? I would like a lift for looks, mild off roading, but do not want to lose the functionality of a truck overall since it is my daily driver and I use it to haul stuff often.
