Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

It can be confusing because it's still relative early in development, so if you weren't onboard from the beginning, it's easy to not understand exactly where development is because things are moving quickly. Currently there is a 1.02C general release tune for AT Tacomas (with 87 and 91 octane variants, as well as A, B and C shift patterns, so that makes 6 possible tunes based on 1.02C). OVTune recently dropped 1.03 to the MT crowd with the exception of a few MT owners who have the very first ecu revision that is giving him a bit of trouble sorting out. They are currently running a test version of 1.03 for their particular ecu while he tries to iron out the remaining issues for them. In addition, he recently purchased a 2018 Tacoma Pro AT to use as a test mule and either is or will be shortly, working on a 1.03 general release tune for the ATs based on his experiences with the test mule and the additional requests he solicited from AT owners. I get the impression that 1.03 for ATs will not be ready when we receive our kits (I'm in the same order as you), so the tune we will receive will be 1.02C unless we decide to hold off sending him our ecu info until 1.03 is released.

I don't have the tune yet, but with your setup I can only imagine 4.88s are a necessity...I'm sure the tune is great, but it's still a NA 3.5 liter V6...with a double overdrive.

@OVTune just throwing this out there as well, might be helpful if you got your hands on a URD Spec-U exhaust to mess around with the tune on, see what it's capable of. I know a number of users would be interested in maximizing performance with exhaust.

Yeah @OVTune I think we could see a huge difference with the “header” replacement power extractors and spec u exhaust. The power extractors trigger the check engine light as all cats are removed. They’re on sale for another 7 days too

Maybe do it like they do in the group buy threads,get a list going of who wants in and send each on the list an IM/request for payment as kits become available and work your way down the list?
