Well I bought my 17 OR Taco yesterday. I have read a lot the past week on lifts and leveling kits. From what I have been reading it seems people who install a 3/1 leveling kit end up about 1/2" to 3/4" nose high. I was thinking why not just go 2"/1" instead? Thoughts?

I know some will say don't do either but I won't be rock crawling, hill climbs or mudding.

Personally, I would never know if a truck is 1/2" higher in the front or the rear just by looking at it.

I have thought about that too. Then I will gain another 1/2" switching to 265/75R16

I’m doing mine this weekend with a 1” thick front top spacer from Rough Country, and 1” cast iron block in the rear, pretty much a 2/1 situation. I’m also going to make some spacer rings to add under the bump stops to make sure my shocks don’t get used for that instead.

After the alignment all seems well. After letting everything settle in and retorquing the U-bolts, no axle wrap that I can detect. Truck is level within a quarter inch too, rear is still high.

Took about 3 hours by myself doing the front, my son and I did the rear in another hour or so.

I need to figure out how thick to make the bump stop spacers. Anyone install a 3” that came with bump stop spacers? How thick were they?
