3rd Gen Quicksand thread

I still need to do my bumper!!!!

 

I put about 12 coats of plasti dip on mine! Wanted to make sure it could handle a pressure washer and not come off and it’s great!

 

Was one can enough?

 

Ohh man I bought 4 cans thinking one wasn’t enough and heck I could’ve put 50 coats on that bumper with one can! It lasts a long time. Took me some time to do it because I waited 20-30 min between coats and I’m glad I did. Turned out great. One can is enough.

 

The secret is the right amount of heat and a kung fu grip but I failed doing it. The rest isn't so bad.

 

Yeah I've done a set on my buddies lol. Real pain haha. Love your build man.

Not pro tail light, but only a $55.00 eBay mod for a different look.

Day after I bought it. Mods coming fast. Got tint on, waiting on wheels and tires. Contemplating Demello sliders then a topper.

 

Just picked up my 17 quicksand yesterday. Looking for a camper shell in the DFW area!

Cant wait to start modding mine.

 

Such a great color. We've actually got two of them. One will stay more mild with sliders, skids, lift, some 33s, and 4.88s and front air locker. Here it is bone stock and just testing sliders.


The other we will finish up our tummy tuck (gain almost 4" of ground clearance over a stock Tacoma) and 35-37s.

 

Keep us updated on that tummy tuck!

Not sure about you guys, but I had a second generation for 11 years, just sold, but I like driving this new 3rd gen, it's just plain fun to drive.
