That is way too 733t for this crowd. I'm sure about 1% have even heard of 2600 and know it's significance in the world. Much less know what a 4@xor even is. lol

Oh yeah me too, my last job review they realized I had work extra hours with out pay over 86% of that period without being asked while operating at a 98% efficiency rate. Bigger problem is they see I'm doing 4 people's jobs, and keeping adding to my plate.

I had someone come crying to me because he couldn’t access his AOL email from his work computer. I asked him to write up a 500 word justification to be sent to his senior management on what official government business he needed his AOL account for. He said some uncomplimentary things in a group email that ended up making their way back to me, so I directly emailed him (CC’ing his boss) that “under no circumstances will we put our network at risk for your personal whims.” He got his ass handed to him. I got kudos from my leadership for standing my ground.

Looking that over, I sound like an asshole. I’m really a helpful guy. Just don’t put my network at risk or I’ll crush you.

    There it is. Asshole again.

    Fuck it.

I use my personal computer. But we're kind of a different kinda dept in the local govt. Have been looking into getting our own internet over here and paying for it ourselves like the cable. Then we won't have to deal with any of their bs.

I remember when Georgia College had a bbs and it only had 9600 bps modem on it. Holy shit that sucked when 14.4 was the standard. I remember going from 56k to cable at 1.5 meg. Then they bumped us up to 3 meg. omg!

They better add some $$$$ as well. You should be getting paid for all the jobs you are doing!!

The station i'm in pays for their own out of the Union budget, or something.

Welcome to the party. I started at 4:30 PM EST.

We just got back in our frontline ambulance a bit ago. Got a call and picked up the mobile radio to talk to 911. I heard them answer us from the speaker in the bay as we were pulling out. Got my partner to turn the portable on and it worked fine. We run the call and get back and I start poking around. Apparently while the truck was in the shop some dipshit managed to rip the wires apart going to the speaker for the radio. Search around until I found 2 crimp connectors and connected them back together. Boom we have a mobile radio again. I'd like to know how the fuck you pull a connection like that apart and don't know it. It was behind the seat in the truck. Not like it was out in the open. Also covered with a wire loom.

We already have some fucked up radio's anyway that are a pain in the ass to adjust the volume on. You have to adjust the volume then turn the radio off to save it at that volume setting. Cheap fuckers should have stayed with Motorola. Although I can see why they changed when it was going to mean all new radio system and repeaters on the towers. Plus more towers to cover the county. Digital UHF radios from UK are pure shit. Actually I believe the radio's are Chinese as Sepura is a division of Hytera which is based in China.
