I actually haven't yet, should be happening in the next couple of weeks though. I have all of the skids off right now to do some cleaning/repair on them, so I'm definitely going to get the reroute taken care of before I reinstall. After taking them off road quite a bit, I'm really looking forward to gaining back some ground clearance by taking the spacer out. I scraped quite a bit on the transfer case skid due to it hanging low.

I'm about ready to do the same. I've never really had much work done at a muffler shop... trying to decide if I should get a new cat back and ensure it's the re-routed version, or just pay to have my existing exhaust bent. Have you priced it?

Same here. I've looked at some other postings people have put on here, and it seems to land anywhere from the $100-300 range. I was also considering the URD y-pipe, I believe it will work without the spacer for RCI skids too. It is $430, but bolt on so I could take care of that myself.

I did just notice that RCI now sells a maxtrax mounting bracket... I do like the maxtrax out of the way, hidden in the bed, but I've found them hard to get to in the location I pictured... May end up rejiggering the bedrack to fit them somewhere externally as well...

@trlfrk I’m loving this build thread - it was said before, but it’s awesome to find someone doing a real-world build, rather than a million dollar rig made of unobtanium.

Can I ask you about your tires? I’ve been thinking about running the Toyo’s but I don’t have any real day-to-day experience with them. How are they to live with on a daily driver?

Love the toyo MT's. No complaints. Pretty quiet for mud tires. I I only have about 10k miles on them, and they've worn very well (as in, not much).

MBRP exhaust is in the garage. Going on Sunday. A little damage during shipping to one of the muffler flanges, but nothing I can't bend back into place :( :)

Installed RCI's Rear Diff Skid last weekend. Went on easily and for once all my hardware came correctly :)

Thank you - that echoes most of the things I’ve read about the Toyo’s, but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of them here in TW.

El Cheapo MBRP 3" cat back exhaust added. More pics soon.

I honestly think it sounds much better. Like 200 bucks online. aluminum. muffler flange damaged in shipping, but no biggie. Install is easy. tailpipe is even closer to the spare tire now.

I wrapped the aluminum tailpipe with fiberglass motorcycle exhaust tape to prevent tire melting. Has worked ok.

Speaking of exhaust, I've gotten one local quote so far for re-routing the y pipe. 400 bucks! Stupid. I do want the re-route so I can get the skid plate up higher, and remove the spacer, but not for $400. Will keep shopping. Leads appreciated.

The Tepui manual doesn't really specify (actually not at all) any specs on how far the Autana XL tent base can overhang the crossbars. I wish they would state that. I am planning on mounting mine on my shortbed with a Thule Xsporter rack so that I can raise and lower it. I may fabricate a brace that angles up from the rear Thule rack and attaches to the crossbars on the bottom side of the tent base Kind of like a gusset. I absolutely love my DCSB, but in the case of the Autana XL it sure would be nice to have a long bed. Love your build man!!!

Actually, looking at Tepui's mounting videos on their website, they leave a ton of the tent unsupported.

I called Tepui with my plan before I implemented it and they agreed it would be no problem. I don't recall the exact measurement of my overhang though. You'd probably be best measuring your spec/ set up and discussing with them.
