    Hello All,

I am getting a Maintenance Required light. Can anyone tell me what that could mean? I do not have the owner's manual.

    Thanx in advance!

Comes on every 5k to tell you maintenance is required. What maintenance depends on your milage.

Thanks! I just did the oil last month. I guess checking the air filters, plugs, etc. wouldn't hurt.

You need to do a manual reset of the notification. It won't reset automatically.

    ^^Yep. Simple process.
With the key in ignition and engine switched off; Press and hold the “ODO/TRIP” button, turn the engine switch to the “ON” position while still holding the trip/odo button. (do not start the engine because reset mode will be canceled) Continue to press and hold the button until the odometer displays “000000”. Then you're done for another 5k miles.

The Maint Req light ONLY applies to oil changes based strictly on mileage. At 4,500 miles since the last reset it will flash for a short time after startup. At 5,000 miles it will come on and stay on while the truck is on until it is reset.

I would try to sync it up with your oil changes, I like it, no more stickers on the windshield.

Great info everyone, thanks a bunch! Getting rid of it was my next question. If I had know that, I would have sync'd them up. Will do for next time.

I wonder what's missing on the Canadian trucks. Don't really care that I don't have a light. Just a curiosity thing.
