Onboard Pressurized Water System for the 2005-Current Toyota Tacoma OBW

Do you guys do anything special with your pumps for winter. Will be heading up to the mountains next few months and wasn’t sure if I should run riv anti freeze through it or not

Seems like a no brainer, I don't RV myself but you should definitely either purge with air or run potable safe antifreeze through it. Stuff with water in it can be cracked when frozen.

 

I am taking one of the other sold kits and building this portable kit using the hard case for a local member. Due to its size and weight, it may not be feasable to ship. But i think I'm going to hold off on selling the last kit until i build this other one first that way i can make sure the design works and get a size and weight from it for a shipping quote. We will revisit this in about 1 week if thats ok. You will have first dibs if it works out. Give me until next weekend

I would recommend the standard yellow hose in future models like this as its fits better in the case, but this came out absolutely amazing! I'll call it the "fully loaded" version

 

The case is no longer "waterproof" since i had to drill 8 holes in it, but i did epoxy the switch to keep it mounted correctly which seals that hole but theres not a good way to waterproof it again. But being that this is a water system and designed to be wet, i dont think the waterproof feature was really important at all. Uses stainless steel hardware, shrink tube on the wiring, extra strength teflon tape to prevent leaks, pressure/leak tested for quality, and entirely self contained including independent power switch. And yes, the handle is still fully functional along with the pressure vent knob

Hey bud. I was super bummed but wondering have you ever had this issue?

The hot lead into the 12v pump came off the prong. Tried to take out my pump and it was sub 50°. Both water feed nipples cracked!

I’m assuming that the cable that came off the pump wasn’t fixed on well from the factory?

Either way I’ve got a spare motor out of it if anyone needs one.

 

So sorry, never got any message. Unfortunately I am all out of kits right now. If i make more itll be next spring
