That's really cool to hear another girl getting out into the woods! Both my girls have camped with Girl Scouts since they were about 7. My wife and I were GS leaders for around 17 years with 2 troops so camping was normal. I've taken both of them hunting many times and the oldest actually has killed a deer. I never elieved in limitting them to doing "girl" things and it has resulted in them growing into well rounded young women. 1 graduated with a Biology and Chemistry degrees and the younger one will graduate next December with a degree in natural water resources. My only advice with the sliders would be maybe see if she can get in over the sliders and not use it as a step if you don't get the fill plate, I'm always affraid their feet will slip and go down inside it and hurt them

Nice! I grew up in Los Angeles. Never camped growing up, never went out doors and explored. It wasn't until I moved to Utah that I really go into Dirt biking and camping. I always wanted to as a kid. I for sure want to give my daughter that life style. Spending summers outdoors and not be afraid of getting down in the mud. She is only one and already loves playing in the dirt! Have to keep her with that mind set.
That is a good point with the sliders. I could totally see her one day slipping through. I will have to start doing some research on some plated options vs. non plated. I mean I could always carry her in and out. Keep me nice and strong! :muscleflexing:

LOL I'd throw my back out ha ha. I've heard of people putting grip tape on them but have also heard plenty of horror stories of people hurting their legs on the grip tape getting out. I'm just lucky I guess my wife is 5' 8" and skinny and just hops in and out. I hate to sound negative about any of that but I didn't know until somebody told me and I read it on here. You could always get her a little step you could put in the back seat and then folks would think you wre a real gentleman helping your wife in and out of the truck.

I live in Minnesota so having something that is good on snow and ice is a must. The stock sized highway tires look like they will be garbage.

Everything I've read here about these tires makes me think these are the right choice.

Sprayed the undercarriage with Fluid Film this evening. Apparently no one that works at the auto stores in Chicago ever heard of this stuff. So I drove an hour out of my way to hit a Lowe’s. Put two wheels on a high curb and sprayed it in the parking lot. Wish someone told me it smelled like my grandmas house when she was cooking a big pot of pea soup! I will never forget that smell.

    yep..
Nice. Just in time for winter. I want the CompuStar remote start but would like to install it myself. (don't like other people messing with my wiring) I cant seem to find any manuals online on how to do it on a MT taco.

I'm considering storing my Leer 180 canopy inside for the winter. We get pretty icy, snowy, salty roads here in Nova Scotia, Canada. I'm thinking it might be a way to preserve it until Spring time. I don't need it for the dry storage during the winter. What are everyones thoughts?
