DJ's?????

Hey I havent seen a DJ thread on TW yet so I am making one right now!! This is my setup, yea I know its old school since everyone spins now with MP3's and CD's but I love spinning records!! If you got a setup post a pic of your stuff!!!

Nice pics!!! Yeah I havent bought new equipment for like 7 years!!!! I'm still using all viynls!! I havent kept up with the DJ scene though in so long that I am just way behind all the times. I still have fun spinning in my house though when I am bored. Oh, what kind of music do you spin typically?

 

Drum n Bass is what I started on, now play around with dubstep, breakbeats and electro-house too.

Well I listen to almost everything now a days. But when I was spinning I was into progressive trance/techno/funky house/dnb/jungle/and breakbeats. Since I havent bought a new record for almost 4 years, thats all I still have!! I dont think I will ever get back into it to go back to spinning at parties, but I will probably mess around with my tables for years to come. I will probably eventually look into getting new records or maybe even some new equipment, but that wont be for a while. Got to many other things going on right now.

 

I would look into serato... then you can spin whatever you have on your computer with timecoded vinyl

screw buying new wax... too expensive for just 2 tracks

 

Yeah I will def look into all the new stuff that is out. I know there has probably been some major changes and advances on new ways of spinning. I guess I am just old school.

 

I dont spin but I love electronic music. What Dj's or labels are you listening to? Global Underground, Renaissance and Balance records are all putting out quality stuff.

 

Like I said, I havent been into the scene in so long I'm not sure what is out there right now. But I have always like Global Underground since the late 90's!!!
