You'll have the needle bearing go bad no matter how little the lift....plan for ECGS now or in the future.

#3 with a 3/8" spacer for a year and a half and no needle bearing issue. Front CV has no play in it at all. I don't understand it but I'm not complaining.

Are 2nd gens having the same needle bearing issues too? When I had my ‘15 Sport I never remember reading about any problems. Only when I moved to a 3rd gen did I start hearing about this issue.

Depends on your application and what leaf setup you have on the rear. I went with b110 because I have Dakar leaf pack on the rear of the truck and want to be able to use the full extent of flex and not be limited by a 9inch stroke. The b110/EL095 handles well with a cap and tools/recovery in the bed of the truck.

I've had the 6112-6150 3LAAL on for a week now. I think the ride on road feels almost stock. I'm a little concerned about the off road ride however.

The rear is great. No issues.

The front so far is fine over slow crawling stuff. As the speed picks up some, the dirt road bumps and medium sized bumps are rough. Not the up stroke but the return. The front returns too fast it seems with a clunk.

I hope this goes away as it breaks in. Anyone have any insight in this? I'm in notches 5/6.

sounds like a bit too much preload. If you go down a notch or two I'm sure it would help. They will settle a little and that will help too. On another note I couldn't hold off anymore on the 5160's. Cyber Monday got me. $318 OTD shipped to me for the pair. Early Christmas gift to myself. One thing I noticed is after driving off road for a solid hour over rough terrain I stopped a felt the shocks. The 6112's were just warm but the 5100's were hot. Couldn't keep your hand on them. We were in Desert Hot Springs over Thanksgiving so a trip up Berdoo cyn into Joshua Tree was a must. That did it for me :)

It feels like they are softening up the more I use them. I notice less clunking each day over the same conditions and it's starting to feel pretty good.

I think the pot hole beating I gave them Sunday did allot for them.

I acquired used 6112's from @LostHusker, good seller, easy transaction. Thanks again!

I have a 2011 Tacoma 4cyl 4x4 with an ARE cap. The 6112's are set on notch 3; driver side came with a 1/4" spacer, I left it on. This instillation was done 11/18/17, 11 days ago.

    Front Measurements:
    Before: Driver: 19 3/4" Pass: 19 3/4"
    After: Driver: 22 3/8" Pass: 22 1/2"

Just got mine installed. Front set to notch 3 on passenger and 4 on driver. Rear Dakar 095R leaf pack with 5160’s

I’ll take some better pics of the entire truck in the daylight tomorrow. It was already dark when I picked it up today.

Rides like a dream. I’m so so so so glad I went lead pack instead of another add a leaf. Unbelievable difference in unloaded ride quality. I hope the height settles in the rear a bit. I have a little more rake than stock. I wanted to maintain at least the factory amount of rake since I’ll be adding a shell with roof rack eventually and didn’t want to end up with bro lean.

Tires are 265/75/16 on stock OR wheels.
