Poll- Cavalry Blue: what do you think?

I obviously love the color even though I wasn’t sold until I saw it on a 4Runner in person. What does everyone else think?

 

Love anything that is exclusive

 

It’s not nearly as good looking as black.

 

I don’t love it but I don’t hate it either. I just like it but that wasn’t an option.

 

Obviously you need to see the Tacoma in that color in person to really know if it's what you want.

It's a "different" color, not a "safe" color. From my personal experience, there is a chance you might like it at first, and get tired of looking at it after awhile. Unfortunately no way to really tell, but there is a reason most cars on the road are white or shades of silver/ grey.

An old friend of mine used to say "you pays your money and you takes your chances", seems appropriate in your situation.

It's blue I like it better on the FJ cruiser.

Calvary blue needs Kings, and dark blue wheels as standard equipment.

 

When I bought a Jeep, there were plenty of the "fun" colors available and I briefly considered one of the green nightmares.

Boynoyce hit it right on the spot.

I couldn't imagine still liking it after looking at it every day for a while.

I ended up buying a metallic pewter

 

Agreed. I choose "not black or white blah blah" because it was closest to "I don't love or hate it, but it's ok"

 

PS: It's pretty funny that the current leader is "Don’t care even a little bit."

I love it! I voted to keep it exclusive to the TRD Pro because it was the closest option to my thought of keeping it exclusive to all TRD trims, not just the Pro.

It looks a little bit better in that nighttime pic, lol. In the bright sunlight pics that are from the “what’s the chatter” thread, I thought it looked gross. I agree with boynoyce, you may get sick of looking at it. Definitely not a truck color,

That color is Smurftastic! I was originally thinking of ordering it because it was different. I'm glad I got my 2017 BARCA RED TACO instead. I saw that color in person the other day on a FJ cruiser, and it did not do anything for me. I do agree, it does look better at night.

 

Because that option was there.


I've not seen it in person yet, so I'm on the fence. Some pics posted make it look good, good enough to wish Toyota included it on all trims. Other pics make it look like smurf vomit. Cement was the same for me. Some pics made it look good, others were like a dull-ish boring silver. I saw a TRD Pro in cement a few weeks ago. Seeing it in the flesh made me appreciate that color more.

 

@18CavalryTaco , just thought I would add this to the mix:

My truck is quicksand- I liked it the moment I saw it, and almost 2 years later I still really like it.

Occasionally someone will tell me they don't like the color of my truck, which makes me like it even more, cause... you know...fuck what anybody else thinks, lol.
