Why would you set the shocks like that and not just use the 1/4 lean spacer?

 

I'm wondering why you would suggest using a spacer instead of adjustment on the shock?

 

First time I am hearing a person do this and not use a lean spacer that's all. I'll see myself out thank you.

 

I'm only asking because his setup is similar to a coilover design. A little more preload on the drivers side and you can match ride heights to driver and passenger without introducing extra parts.

 

I have heard of people doing that with the actual adjustable coilovers, just never with the 5100's or 6112's

 

I used the lean spacer myself. However the actual installation instructions from bilstein recommend this method.

Yes you can. It will give a very balanced look. I had a 1.5 inch spacer in the rear until I decided which leaf springs to go with. I’ll post pictures with it
