I would say it's a subpar factory tune issue more than a underpowered motor.

Let it go... if I paid that much money for a truck and it had all of these issues within the first year or two I wouldn't trust it anymore either, and would probably look for something else. Just so we are clear is not a 3rd gen knock, a Tacoma knock, or a Toyota knock. This is just how business works. If you release a product and the consumers either don't like it or don't trust it they are going to look elsewhere.

Tacomas are not the only truck out there and toyota is not the only company that produces some really sick trucks for both on and off-road. If I had the money for it right now I would have a Sierra Denali to go along with my 2nd gen, and That doesn't mean that I think Toyota or the Tacoma is bad.

point is not all opinions merit caring. i dont give two shits about why someone sold car or truck x. you werent happy, bought something else cool. wanna hang out here still cool. think anyone will really give two shits about what or why you did something probably not really a thing. when ex owners hang around to slag shit, that echo chamber of dumb bullshit gets tiring.

That's just it, in 2017 MPG very much is a huge consideration for full size trucks. Like you said, they almost all get good mileage now. The Tundra's is about what I'd expect from a semi-truck. lol

I don't expect a full-size to be a prius, but I don't get how Toyota ever allowed the Tundra to get the mileage it gets.
