Towing capacity being reduced would be true if spring rate was effected by the shackle flip/angle, which it is not.

And Tacos tow like shit as per the Spinner of Wheels

Unfortunately not many people have used the same leafs before and after shackle flip, and if they did, probably did not measure amount of sag under both circumstances with the same weight trailer, etc, etc, etc.

Like I said, I was keeping my mouth shut. Not very good at it.

Not trying to start a mass debate but dodge for example has produced trucks with "inverted shackles" and "flipped shackles". I wouldn't hesitate to tow double the weight of the truck or more. You tow anywhere near double the weight of a Tacoma with a Tacoma stock, modified, flipped or gold plated your gonna have your hands full. Just for the record I'm not a fan of dodge at all.
^^^this. I ran dakars for about a year before doing the flip. The only difference I could noticed after was on the trails. The added droop allowed me to do trails that I had to use my locker on previously because of tire lift. Also I just slapping the kit on and going I did lose some up travel but after taking the time to test and tune different setups I only lost about 1/2"-3/4" of up travel and I'm sure if I messed with my bump stops I could get that back too as I still have room on the shock shaft.

Also also the springs going inverted is bull honky too. Stock setup fully loaded will invert the springs too. Been flipped for 40,000 miles over a period of almost 3 years with countless heavy loads both on and off-road and I'm still using the same leaf packs with no thoughts of getting new ones

Disclaimer- not telling anyone what to do or not to do just sharing personal experiences

Handling is directly related to spring rate, although shock valving has an equal part in it.

Any rear set up will tow badly if it is optimized for an empty bed, just as a set up optimized for towing will be harsh when unloaded.
