    Hey Tacomaworld,

For the past couple of month’s I’ve been working on a Grille Insert for the Third Gen Toyota Tacoma that I think some of you might want to see.

So far I haven’t been too crazy about the grille options for Tacoma’s yet, as well as that everyone’s Tacoma has the same set up now. I wanted to build a grille to give Tacoma owners an additional option that still looks good and fitting to the truck.

    Order yours at www.x-trek.com

Before you place an order please read below:

    1. 2016-2017 Grilles are now $175 shipped!
    2. 2018+ Grilles are now $199 shipped!
    3. Mesh for both the 2016 - 2017 grilles and the 2018+ grilles will be reduced from $75 to $65.

Going forward the 2018's version of the grilles will not need the mesh in order to work on the 2018-2020's.

After you place an order you will receive an email with your order info. When your order is shipped you will receive a tracking number.

    Specs:

The grille insert is made out of ABS UV Resistant Plastic and comes in a smooth flat black texture. The grille does not include the Toyota Logo and is sold separately. However, the blank spot on the grille will fit both the Toyota Emblem as well as just a Toyota Sticker. The blank spot is (14.5' by 2.5' inches) so you are free to put whatever emblem or logo you desire.

    Installation

The installation of the grille is as simple as removing the original grill insert and replacing it with the new one, then reinstalling the trim piece. So the grille is held in place by the surrounding trim piece.

If you live outside of the mainland United States just feel free to either PM me or email me watki127@mail.chapman.edu because currently I can only set up free shipping free shipping to the mainland United States on my website.

    Ordering the Logo:
You can order the Emblem through:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01F2ALULA

If you want to just go with the Sticker you can get it here:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/182939242507

:oldglory:These grilles were designed and are 100% manufactured in the U.S.A.

I love it....except for the part about the trim piece. The TRD OR, has a chrome trim piece. Nothing a pit of rustoleum or plastidip cant fix but still

Makes you wonder why Toyota can’t produce something that looks that awesome, instead of the craptastic grilles they have put on the trd ORs and sports.
    Nice job!

@watkins303 How do we order the Toyota Logo with the grill? I don't see an option on the website to purchase the logo. Also, does the grill have locking tabs like the factory grill so it will lock on to the surrounding trim piece or does it use screws?

I love how grill inserts are selling for $300. 3rd genner's are destined to work well into their 60's

I like it! I think it’s the best looking one yet. Only issue is the price, with faux Pro grilles at $140 it’s hard to justify twice the cost. Standing by for now.

Really nice job OP. Clean and mean. I already have a pro grill, but would have seriously considered your creation. You should be heading up Toyota’s design department.

I like the grille design! It reminds me more of the “Toyota” grilles on older model trucks/jeeps than the current TRD Pro grille. I’d be interested, but I’m currently on the hook for a faux TRD Pro grille that’s in transit.

Love the simple look of this, but its too expensive, i would do it if it were $140-150
