Here's mine, krylon gloss black, no primer. Just sanded and cleaned really well. They still look good 2 months later.

different rims, but same concept. i used duplicolor self etching primer and then used krylon bbq and stove paint. i went for the flat black look though, turned out great.

looks like that the paint is pretty durable. how many coats did you do i was thinking bout doin a can per wheel and giving a few hours between coats to make sure it is covered thourghly

i went to napa and got a self etch primer and then used an actual black wheel paint thats supposed to repel brake dust. 12 dollors a can. only needed 1 can of each. fairly cheap way to go. sticks well and th cheaper you go the cheaper to fix up.

um. the primer was - Dominion Sure Seal Ltd. Grey One Step Automotive self etch primer

and the paint was - Dupli-Color High Performance Wheel Coating (Black)

The black isnt flat flat but not glossy either. enough for durability.

remove any clearcoat by using wire bursh or sand paper that may be on the weel and have to clean them very well make sure all dirt is removed then use acetone wipe down the whole wheel. then you should be ready to go with your perferrd paint
