I have wanted a Lenovo X1 Carbon for a long time. Full price on what I want is about $1900, realistically I could probably get it for $1400 just about any time. Could get it for about $1100 after tax right now. Debating on pulling the trigger.

I've been trying to get work to let me buy one to replace what I have there, but no luck.

Yup, considering half of what I do at home is work related anyway--I'd bring it back and forth every day. Our curriculum director got one and it's beautiful.

Well I made it to Cabelas, they swapped out my one piece with a "comparable" model. Mine was at least 15 years old and discontinued. The new one was 300 bucks but they just swapped it. #winning
I bought a new toy while I was there, an Excalibur Micro 355 crossbow. It was originally 1200 bucks but marked down to 530. #winning again
Now I just have to get it in the house, lmao

Talk to Drew for the work - he can definitely help minus the drive out to him. As for the undercoating.. its a joke. It was done to my truck before I bought it and it blows - I am able to peel a 6inch strip off it and there's still rust under it. The dealership told me to pound sand even when I walked the customer service rep out to the truck, peeled off a strip of it right in front of him. High pressure air just blows all the loose flakes off - a proper descaling means to chip off all the rust to the bare metal. They're just putting a bandaid on to cover the rust up so you can't see it.

So are you no longer eligible for a new frame? Admittedly I didn't follow the whole recall process when it was first coming out. I thought if you got the spray and you had holes you'd still get covered, but are you stuck if you get the spray and your frame goes you're SOL?

    I'd escalate to Toyota, regardless.

From what I understand, you get your frame inspected. If it fails, you get a new frame. If it passes, you get the coating. If the frame still rusts out, then you're SOL. And anyone half way intelligent knows the coating only delays the inevitable.

That's terrible. If I remember right on the 01-04 if you got the coating it extended your warranty.

Regardless the coating is failing and I'd still raise a ruckus about it.

Hm... My tire pressure light came on so I topped off all four tires from 34 to 40psi... Then measured the spare... It's at 24psi for some reason.

Mine don't work at all anymore. I can't get them to reset using the method in the owners manual. I think leaving the wheels sitting in the garage without tires for 6 months killed them. Pretty sure the batteries died

The scope that came with mine has illuminated dots 20 yds. to 60 yds.
It also has a dial you set to fps. Mine shoots 375 fps so the scope compensates for drop.
I did all my initial sighting in at 20 yards. Sight it off a bench, just like a rifle.
After that ,it was gravy and the scope did its job.
20 to 50 ,it hits the same spot and 60 it's an inch off.

Thank you - I'll search for contact info.

Thanks - I'm north shore MA so I wish they'd stop with the chemicals and go back to sand & salt. My cars lasted longer then.
