Frustrating to see the cost bloat for the DCSB models in Canada.

In 2016 you could buy the DCSB Sport with manual with no moonroof, no tech/bling, and no leather for $4,000 less pre-tax. Now in typical Toyota fashion, it only comes one way, loaded with shit I don't want and can't afford.

I'm looking at a used 2016 with 32,000 kms on it just so I can get a double cab truck with a 6 spd and no moonroof.

It's nice that they still offer the 6 speed but come on Toyota, give us at least 2 options (base vs loaded).

Also noticed it says the 2018 TRD Sport in Inferno comes with Orange Leather. That I need to see.

If you open the 2018 brochure - it shows all all TRD Sports come with gray cloth, unless you take the Sport Upgrade package which gets you black leather and moonroof. Looks like DC Off Road, Sport and Limited are all short bed now. 6 ft bed only on the SR5 DC - auto only

Weird, no more TRD Sport double cab long beds. Those were popular models around these parts. More so than the short beds.

Yes, I noticed that to. Not defending Toyota here but it seems a lot of car manufacturers outsource their web and print communication to Jim's Tires, Chicken and Communication Services where Jim is a 15 year old working in his parents basement in the spare time he has in between school, sports and trying to get laid.

Pretty sure the Cavalry Blue Pro on 2nd page is a short bed, based on picture. Don't believe there has ever been a long bed Pro in USA either. The LB OR on cover is definitely not available in Canada.

I think there is more than one error in the brochure. I ordered a CZ5ANMBA (DCSB V6 Sport Upgrade manual) and the brochure seems to say it has cloth seats, but I'm sure that's wrong.

I hope "Cement Grey metallic" is not a very different colour from last year. These are the risks you take I guess.

If you look at the brochure - the Sport (Short bed and manual only) has cloth seats. The "DC Sport Upgrade" package gives you leather and moonroof, wireless charging.

Look at the area in the bottom right under "Double Cab TRD Sport Upgrade Package." Notice that, according to the list of models to which it applies, you can't get that package with the TRD Sport V6 6MT. But I know you can, because mine is being built in a few days in Texas.

I am going to be right pissed if they come out with more fuel efficient engines next summer. My truck is going to suck gas harder than Monica Lewinsky.

If you got a Manual Short bed Sport - the only option is the "Pro" upgrade which gives you leather etc. Did you get the Pro? Otherwise a Sport Automatic is Long bed only - SR5/Sport/Sport Upgrade.

Like I said, I ordered a a CZ5ANMBA DCSB V6 Sport Upgrade manual. As far as the dealer is telling me, if I wanted a manual I had to have the Sport Upgrade package or the Pro. They do not sell a base model with the manual. I have no need for anything you get with the Pro package.

My perfect truck would have been a base-model SR5 without a vape vent, Qi charger etc., with a manual transmission and a long bed. Had to make certain compromises.

I am just saying that people should not rely on that brochure, because I can tell you that there are errors in it. You need to talk to the dealer, who has the actual order guide.

Technically there’s no such thing as a sport upgrade manual.
There’s just the manual short bed sport or manual pro.

It just happens that that sport manual short bed has all the stuff of the upgrade pack. But it doesn’t have tpms. So it’s not exactly the same as an auto with the upgrade package.

And the upgrade package is only an option on the long bed auto.

Double check with the dealer. The 2018 Sport Short bed manual, is fairly loaded, but I am 99% sure there is no leather. The only leather option is the Pro package. There is no way of knowing what CZ5ANMBA includes, as the model designation is a dealer only description. Agree though, that I would not rely solely on the brochure. Sometimes some sales guys don't have a clue either.

I have TPMS in my 17 DC OR, and would rather not have it. I switch to Winters on steelies, without TPMS, and have the TPMS light on all winter. Did not want to pay for a second set of sensors, and all the reprogramming BS and $$. Wonder why the left it of the Sport? Never knew that.

Go look on the build section at Toyota.ca

The manual sport double cab all have leather now.
Along with all the other bloated crap.
I’m trying to get a 17 as they already have more useless crap I don’t want.

But yes like someone above says thank goodness they don’t have the stupid tpms on the 2017 manuals.

Apparently the Alloy wheel sensors are different than the Steel wheel sensors, and they are not interchangeable.

I've read that they can be by virtue of adjusting the angle when installing on steelies...moot however as they are now on my buggy wrapped in rubber.

Didn't mean to thread jack, back to crappy shifting slushboxes!
