I took advantage of the 50° weather today and did the front. Wow. What a world of difference already, worn out stock vs new King. It doesn't even compare. Every aspect of the ride is significantly better. Even steering is more responsive and snaps straight quicker. I can only imagine what it'll be like once the rear is done.

    IMG_20171124_125701695.jpg

Current stance, and this is uphill so it looks almost level. But it's got a bro stance for sure. Front is ~3 inches higher than rear now. Overall lift for the front (haven't adjusted yet) is ~3.5 passenger and ~4 driver.

    IMG_20171124_134309815_HDR.jpg

Here are my CV angles right now. I know the lift I got is over the stated 3 inch max for CV health, but I not sure how much my sagging stock parts throw off whether or not my lift is too much.

    IMG_20171124_134016097.jpg IMG_20171124_134106933.jpg IMG_20171124_134050809.jpg IMG_20171124_134024026.jpg

Never dealt with a lifted vehicle before, so I am not sure what a safe angle for CVs is. How do these look?

You don’t want anything over 3” max. It’s better to be around 2.5 since you have a 4x4.

Got the 99 done this week and I'm thrilled with how it turned out! It drives so nice, so solid, no rattles, clunks or anything I mean it feels like a brand new truck only better. Was a little worried the OME might be a little stiff on the road but honestly it rides beautiful. The wife loves it and drove it 3 hours to Rhinelander WI today. All in all I've got about $3500 total into it including the $1000 I paid for the truck. I was really lucky to find such a clean unmolested unabused truck in such good condition, apart from the frame, for so little. I like it better than my 03 Tundra.

Yeah I know that much. But the amount of lift is subjective. If you go from stock, 2.5" is less total lift than if you go from rather soft, sagging springs like I am. So if I lifted 2.5", it wouldn't be a true 2.5" lift. Make sense?

They don't look to be, but I'll get back under and look. Should I flex the front and check or is the flat result enough to know from?

Made some spacer for my carrier bearing. Hopefully to help with axle wrap.

What do you mean help with axle wrap, if you have axle wrap it causes your diff to rotate more in line with your drivelines anyway under acceleration. Coming to a stop or at a stop this will do nothing to decrease the loading that happens from your leafs winding up under force and making that drivelines angle sharper as the diff points downward.

The only things you can do to prevent axle wrap are install stiffer/HD springs, or a traction bar. Moving the carrier bearing will not affect the tendency of the axle to rotate under load, but it will increase the probability of driveshaft vibration due to the angle you've introduced at the t-case u joint.

Hello Tacomaworld. I'm fairly new here, and have never posted in this thread.

Got around to tidying up the front of the truck. Powder coated the bumper to match the skid plate, new (shorter) radiator, new coolant overflow bottle, grill clips, and new headlights / sidelights. Gave the truck a bath while I was at it.

Welcome aboard! Your truck is gorgeous m8. Jealous of that Radiant Red for sure.

Damn, she's getting big. Was a tiny thing when I saw her.
Oh and the truck looks good, as always.
