Hey friends I unfortunately clipped a rock. Anyone work at a body shop who can estimate this ballpark for repair from the pictures?

I don't work at a shop, but my guess is more than what a pair of the most expensive sliders would have cost. Good luck!

I'm not an expert but I'd estimate you're looking at $1k worth of body work if done by the book (would require bondo and blending into the door, rear fender, and lower part of the C pillar).

But I had similar damage although farther underneath and I just used a bunch of touch up paint to prevent rusting or spreading. I'd start with that and see how it looks, then think about getting rock sliders that might cover that all up anyways.

Edit: texted pic to my bodyshop manager he said without a hookup you're looking at $1,500-$2k to do it "right". That would be actually replacing the rocker panel and blending into the whole area.

I'd really think about just touching it up yourself and seeing if the eyesore can be hidden by some quality sliders that'll save you in the future.

I did something very similar in the exact same spot..haven't gotten a quote yet. Interested to know the ballpark estimate.

Luckily it hasn't snowed much here yet, I am dreading the salt on the winter roads.
