Can you touch on this more? I want to hear about the issues I may have going forward. I can only find one recent thread that is negative and it seems to have affected a lot of people.

I have heard leaking issues and rebuild requirements for icons every 40k I think. I would consider ome bps or kings. I haven't read anything on ads yet. As for fox.... Haven't heard anything bad but not good either. My bikes shocks seem to do well, both are fox

OP, so I was looking at getting that exact setup you described. I live in New Mexico so similar terrain as you. I am out in the desert almost every weekend still running stock. Just wanted to ask if you are still satisfied and what size tires I can run with that setup?

I know this is an old thread but I have to say this. I have owned 9 jeeps from kaisers to JK's and even owned a jeep accessory store for a while. I just bought my first Tacoma and I know the internet can be brutal but after spending most of my adult life on Pirate 4x4 doing research on Custom 4-link lifts and 4.0 stroker motors and how to cram 38" tires on a TJ I must say after reading the comments on this thread tacoma owners or at least the ones responding to this post are a bunch of pretentious douchebags. even got the grammar nazi's out. Ugh I should have just stayed in my lane...
