As posted previously these are not street legal or DOT approved. Certain setups are considered "street friendly" but it's up to driver discretion when being used on the street. We will continue to label them as such and will post up if we come out with a street-legal option.

The Wide Cornering pattern was designed for lighting up near field areas as well as poor conditions like snow, rain, fog, dust, etc. It will be the best fog light pattern. The Driving/Combo is a great all-in-one pattern providing a blend of nearfield, midfield, and distance.

We do have replacement lenses available if you decide to try the wide cornering pattern. Please note lens kits are sold individually:

Got mine installed last night. They look good and definitely put out more light. Like crashnburn said there's no defined cut-off with these so there's some glare all around. However you do have some limited adjustability to angle the focused light more up or down. I did have some issues with the mounting brackets that screw into bumper/oem fog bezel from inside the bumper. The holes didn't line up on either of them. Had to drill them out larger on both sides.

Also thought I was short a harness plug from the Tacoma specific kit so I cannibalized a plug from the generic harness that came with the lights. After it was all said I done I realized there are additional clips and plugs included at the bottom of the box the lights came in. :frusty:

BajaDesigns - What's the little piece of foam tape that came with the Tacoma mounting kit for?

No. Not much really to see. Just had to drill them out more so I was able to get the screws in the holes.

The foam is included to be applied to the bracket to reduce vibration when installed. The instructions should have been updated to show the update. I apologize if the instructions didn't reflect. I'll have our product development team and tech support work on that. Regarding the bracket, were you having difficulties installing the lights on the truck or the bracket on the lights?

So I only have one square of foam, where's it supposed to go? Do I cut it in half? Does it go between the screw bracket and the truck? Between where the two phillips screws mount.

I had problems mounting the bracket to the truck. The two pre-drilled holes didn't line up with where they screw into the truck. If you want to send me a couple spares I'll take them. :D

The foam should be cut in 4 pieces. Each piece will apply to the inside of bracket #2 and bracket #3 in the attached instructions. When installing the bracket on the truck you need to pinch the foam and slide the stainless bracket into the bumper slot. It was designed to help reduce vibration.

Please forgive the poor photoshop. Our team will get everything updated ASAP.

Hi Bailey, is this foam being added to the install now, I just recently bought a second kit from you and instructions had no foam nor did the instructions say anything about it

    Thx

And just an FYI, I had to slot my holes on the brackets as well to get the holes to line up, on both kits

Initially on my first time installing them, I had trouble. But when I recently removed them to adjust the height... they went in perfectly. For me, it just took some wiggling around and re-seating them once or twice.
