Everything LEGO thread!

At my parents for a couple days. Things got quiet this evening; luckily I came prepared with the telehandler. Decent little build.



It came with a new worm gear I hadn't seen before. Could be useful in the future.



I was hoping to start the heavy lift helicopter this weekend as well, but between other projects and obligations it may still be a while.

 

Soooo jealous of @EODTRD ‘s collection. Man. I would be entertained for a solid year or two with all those sets.


Built this with the girls today. Took several hours because hey had mixed all the little pieces in with their other legos. Got this free a couple years ago when we bought them princess castles for Christmas.

 

A couple of months ago, this set was selling for $150 new. It’s back down to around $50 again, but still that’s a lot for a small set. I love how it looked. I was able to get one back then. I wish I had got more.

 

So this morning a second Ultimate Batmoblie arrived. I need to call lego customer service to sort this out.

Stopped into a local K-Mart to see the Lego discounts on their store closing sale: 25% off the stickered price. However, prices were increased enough that after the discount you were basically paying MSRP, maybe a couple bucks under at best. Kind of disappointing, but my wallet was spared any damage.

 

^^ I hate that. Unfortunately someone will fall for their tricks.

 

From the look of things, many already had.

 

Keep an eye open on Amazon. They should have some sales for cyber Monday. I just bought the lego batman movie croc chase for $34. MSPR is $59.

 

Retirement?

 

Not at all. I plan to build everything. I just don't have space to display in my tiny house. Once I'm on the mainland it will be different.

 

My Mini Cooper and Telehandler are still in the mail (I got the nutcracker with my purchase!), but I impulsively went to Target to see what they had...

I found this cool 2-in-1 Technic helicopter for $19.99...



I decided to build it as the experimental aircraft instead of the ultralight helicopter, since my dad works for a defense contractor that builds drones...




As you can see, it didn't take me long to build it:



Cheapest Technics model I've ever seen that has working pistons!

 

And then these are the two LEGO City vehicle sets I bought...



Didn't take me long to finish them, either...

My Caterham came two days ago as well! I'd say it took me about 6 hours over the course of just under a day to finish. Part of the build was undertaken in the backseat of my dad's Pilot on the way to see family in Nee Jersey, and unsurprisingly I lost a couple pieces of the roll bar. Worry not, as I have sent away to LEGO for free replacements.

Here are two LEGO City vehicle/trailer sets I picked up at BJ's right before Halloween, for like $18 each...

 

This small Creator set was included with my Ferrari F40 for free...

 

And here's my display area in the basement, at least until I find a more permanent location...

 

Gonna buy another Ultralight Helicopter kit and build it as the helicopter (it's only $20)!

 

You know you can take Legos apart and rebuild as many times as you want?!?

 

Cause I haven't posted in a while, got a new display going around the TV. Its hard to display everything living in a small condo.
