The ride is about the same. I notice a little more stiffness, but overall I am very happy.

Saw a pro with this sticker on the door? What is it? Does anyone else have this sticker on their door?

Out of curiosity, what made you go with airbags over a rear AAL or something similar? I like the idea of being able to adjust the spring based on weight. Wondering if there were other factors that drove your decision.

I just wanted something that was easy to adjust for different loads, such as loading a 4 wheeler in the back to pulling my trailer with lawn tractor. Other than that, no other good reason.

I have Firestone airbags with daystar cradles and stock leafsprings (with the stock overload removed) with Wheeler's 3 leaf add a leaf installed. I haul and tow a lot so I like having both. I got them barely used for next to nothing so I couldn't pass up the deals. If you haul or tow a trailer you'll definitely want both for added rigidity and strength.

Thanks for that info. I'm just starting to go down the path of "fixing" the sagging rear springs; AALs, new leaf packs, remove the overload, don't remove the overload, air spring, no air springs, etc. Lots of options.

Really like the idea of air springs, but also know they can limit wheel travel off road. Do you know if the Daystar cradles preserve all of the wheel travel?

Nope, that's what the Daystar cradles are for. They allow the suspension to fully flex it without issues. Check out the videos of the of the Daystar cradles on YouTube.

Well an AAL is under $100 and took about 2 hours to put in (im a crappy DIY mechanic), never have to worry about having air, leaks, etc. Airbags and fullleaf sets are $400-800. Eventually the answer is a new leaf pack, but a $90 AAL buys me a year or so and keeps the bed level.

I’ve only had about 400# in the bed since putting the AAL with the overload in, it barely moved and I would expect it to be dead level with 1000# on the back.

This is what it looks like with the AAL and the overload in:

    Will check that out, thanks.

Think I'm leaning towards the air springs. Even if the airbags go bad, I'm sure that's years down the road.

Heading to YouTube for that vid...
