Nice tool. Not to detract from it's usefulness - did you consider rotating the welded angles 90 degrees?

I have both. But mostly use the one pictured. Like if I'm welding the sides on a box (like a fluid tank or pan) I just clamp it to one end to hold it up instead of having some help.

This is MIG aluminum. Not quite as pretty as TIG, but a he'll of a lot quicker.

30A spool gun, by the way.

My shop doesn't use tables for 99% of what we do. I prefer 4 pipe jacks and 4 3x3x1/4 steel tube. Set in a # shape. You can level them perfectly in seconds and the top two beams slide. To me flat tables are only good for making flat parts. Our set ups are more 3D and you can stand inside and around parts. I'll have to take a picture.

Here is one of our "tables" if I need a flat plate I can just set a steel plate on top. And best of all you can take it all down and lean them up somewhere.

If you look close you can see I just slid the two beams together and put a small steel plate down for welding a bunch of these up.

Wish I could take a picture of what our nuc pipe fitters have for a setup. Nice 8' by 20' or so table with the 1" holes gridded out. Then all sort of clamps for it including "tower" pieces that clamp via the holes and are like 1' wide by 3-4' tall for clamping higher pipe or other ends of bends.

Me though...I have the garage floor or a 2'x3' piece of 1/4" I put across two saw horses. Don't really have room for something more permanent right now
