I’m excited to see this. I wanted a high clearance bumper but didn’t because I was afraid how it would look.

I was told by a few people its a real pain in the dick to fit them. Lots of cutting and sanding.

On both sets of my fenders from different companies there were a couple bolts that didn’t line up. I just left them off. Both were in the door area too.

Gonna try to get them installed possibly next weekend. I built my bumper so if it doesn't line up, I'll just cut up/ modify the bumper to make it look good. I doubt any off the shelf high clearance bumper will line up perfectly.

Guys these take time, patience, patience, patience, patience and guess what else!?

Just go slow, you will need to make adjustments as you go. You may need to go back to things. And heck you may need to bust out a fiberglass kit and do a little work. They are builders parts for off-road trucks, not off the shelf Toyota parts. Don’t get mad, just work with them and get it together. Welcome to the fiberglass world!

Also remember they will get stiffer after paint. Make sure the glass isn't under tension when installed. I.e. Don't force things into place, they will crack later. I used neoprene washers on my front glass, you don't want to wrench it down too hard and crack em. I used about 3 cans of undercoat on each of my fronts. Happy turkey day

yea, @MojaveMadman. Just a little bummed that the mounting tabs aren’t long enough to bolt down near the cab.
All good though. I’ll figure it out in the daylight tomorrow. They’re hard as hell to fit by yourself. Move one thing and the whole damn thing moves off the truck!

One bolt at a time. When i did my fronts i would get them lined up close and get a bolt in place. Then slowly add bolts one at a time aligning things as I went

I have one tab that is too short. It’s just fiberglass. I will grab a fiberglass repair kit from Home Depot and make a larger tab. Until then I gunna drive it, get some dirt miles on them and make sure I don’t need to clearance anything. Let things settle in place and the adjust stuff. Like anything in off-road it’s never “set it and forget it.”

Get them installed the best you can and put some miles down. Find a weekend you are not in a rush and adjust one side. Then do the other side another. Key is when your not under a time crunch. Even a little headlight gap can be filled in or fixed easier than you think. Not to mention white shows everything... can wait to get some mag grey on mine haha.

Poor lighting but here are mine with a high clearance bumper. Fit nicely width wise. I had to trim the bumper back a little to line up with the larger wheel well area.

Funny I like the 3rd gen bedsides better. If they made 2nd gen fenders that looked like the 3rd gen flare I would buy them. Don’t want the grill though hahaha.

Haha. The third gen ones just have no style like second gen.

The grille looks okay if you swap out the middle and a bumper. :notsure:
