It's less Tacoma and more mod
It's all based on the ratio of truck to tire size. Smaller truck but bigger tires = mad bitches... big ass truck and only medium or big tires = less bitches. The bigger the wheel gets though, the more the quality of bitches drops

Doing some front end maintenance on my LT taco. Short list is new Oem roller rack, oem ps pump, oem lower ball joints (thanks @gunny1005), B&m PS cooler, rebuild & revalve fox 2.5 coil overs, TC cam tab install, reboot driver axle, reseal oil pan gasket/add turbo oil return fitting (just cuz I'm here, not going turbo any time soon). More pics and possibly farther down the rabbit hole tomorrow.

It's not on my truck yet. If you wanted to run it with soa, you'd just have to do brake lines, e brake, add some shock mounts, and remount the leaf perches. This one is set up for spring under and I have springs for that, but I'll probably have to remount the leaf perches and shock mounts.

What about like gearing and such? I don’t know much about how that works.

All the ratios for first gens are available for second gens - if you find one that matches your front, you're all set. I'm regearing so it kind of doesn't make too much difference for me. A lot of guys do the swap with first gen tundra axles. I would have, but I got the whole thing for $150 and the axle seals are a little more dependable / user friendly to work on yourself.

Didn’t know that, a wider axle would be nice for stuff like the solo motor sports relocation kit. Guess I’ll have to look into if I ever get to where I can buy stuff for my truck...

    Thank you sir.

There's a '96 4Runner Limited at my local P&P - Oakland with a A03A (4.10?) rear locker. Some go and get it. 50% off too.
