You really should fill in your information so when you ask a question, I don't have to ask what kind of Tacoma you have.........1st gen?.......2nd gen?.......2wd?.......4wd.....base model?........sr5?......etc., etc.,
That being said, the cheapest you'll find would probably be a spacer lift which consists of (usually) aluminum spacers for the front shock assembly and either AAL or lift blocks for the rear. These kinds of lifts are available from Toytec, Revtek, I could keep going, but what's the point. They're similarly priced from brand to brand. Toytec is a popular one since they make suspension systems for Toyotas only. You could get a complete lift kit for around $300.

Someone mentioned Billstein 5100s, which is a better alternative for a more compliant ride, but would cost a little more. Bottom line, a spacer lift is your cheapest option.

BTW, I have a 3" Toytec spacer lift that cost me $300 +/-.

Not sure on the installation cost, I did mine at home with a couple friends. You'll also need an alignment once the lift has been installed. I think the biggest downside is a bit of a stiffer ride.

Have you had the rear spring TSB done? I ask because that will change your options for the rear end of the truck.

I have an 05 tacoma 2.7L, 2wd, base model. If I get the 3" spacer lift, what's the max tire size with out rubbing?
