Just saw this is back in stock. Perfect timing because I just used the last of my spicy for my turkey.

Just to confirm, you want it to say:

"Merry Birthday from your sister, rubbing your meat is never wrong!"

    ;)

I have "Merry Christmas from your brother. Don't rub the wrong meat."

Originally it was the drum smokers just for a side gig. Then a fairly comprehensive business plan for a food truck was written for my Entrepreneurship class. After some additional reflection and consideration, I realized it made the most sense to really focus on the BBQ rub and get my start that way. It does add a lot to your plate if working full-time as well, but it is plenty manageable. Now, a food truck or BBQ joint is a much bigger undertaking. For now, I wanted to make sure of two things: 1. BBQ never gets less fun because of the work involved. 2. I am able to self-fund the operation for the short-term so that I don't have to surrender a large chunk of equity. So far so good!

I would love a trailer rig to sell food out of. Limited menu of some really badass BBQ and sell it until it runs out. 2019?

    Order 1110

Ordered 3 bags total. Can't wait to try the spicy!

Are the koozies all sold out or were they a limited run? I was almost as excited for a koozie as I was for the rub.

Thanks for the order! Kind of a limited run, but I am shopping around places that can produce them for me at a higher volume. My wife was knocking them out on her vinyl machine, but it was a little pressing for her to get the quantities I wanted .

My wife had some made for our wedding for fairly cheap with designs/words on both sides. I'll ask her if she's remembers where she ordered them from and I'll let you know.

Ya it's not cheap and I am still considering it. May happen in the next few years. I've taken it to the point where I have menu, theme (business person in me does things with franchising in mind lol), name and some costs all worked up. Need to do an in-depth business plan also. I could do a refi on my house and get enough out of it but before I risk that I would have to make sure ALL the ducks are in a row.

A buddy of mine and myself typed up a business plan for a brewery/bbq joint. Still hoping that one day we can pull the trigger on something like that.

Sounds like you and I are in the same place minus location I'm sure. Good luck in your endeavors man. Resturant business is awesome.

Since I got to spend thanksgiving at the firehouse. Late night swim for this turkey in some pitface rub.

You are going at this in a smart way. Get the rub going and building, once you have your return and are building a reserve. Then maybe start catering events. That will give you a taste of cooking for other for a long time. Also, it will require more time, just not all of your time. You pay off your new equipment and start rebuilding your reserve. Then you start looking for a used cheap food truck, something you can fix up over 6 months or so. You wont have to kill your savings, as the company will be paying for it's self. and you wont have to go do sexual favors to some banker for a major loan that will just stress you out.
